XVIII

Amor had not slept a wink. She spent the night tossing and turning waiting for her husband to come home but he never did. It was nine in the morning and she busied herself by cleaning an already clean house. Unlike most people who ate their stress away,she cleaned her stress away. The sound of the from door opening caused her to abandon her work.

' I have nothing to say to you. '

He said as she stood infront of Caleb trying to get him to listen to her. What had happened last night was not supposed to but she let it and she understood why he was angry but it was all innocent.

' Caleb baby I am sorry but I swear nothing happened. I only kept it from you because I was afraid of how you would react. Baby I know I was wrong and I am very sorry for going behind your back and entertaining him.'

She gasped in shock when Caleb pushed her aside and headed upstairs. Amor wiped her tears away and grabbed her things walking out of the house. Work was a disaster for her she made so many mistakes and was very impatient with her customers and staff she decided to spend the rest of the day in her office. Where she eventually fell asleep to be woken up by someone opening her office door.

' Thando what time is it? Why is it so dark?'

She covered her eyes when the office light was switched on and waited for her eyes to adjust to the light before she fully opened them to her husband standing in front of her desk. He was the last person she expected to see but to say she was not happy would be a lie.

' Thando has left and you overslept in a chair. Why didn't you just go home. That is not comfortable or safe for the baby.'

' The baby's fine Caleb and there was no need for you to come pick me up. I could have just taken an uber like in the morning.'

' Oh don't play the victim here Amor! You're the one who lied to me and spent the night with your ex. What did you expect me to do, huh?! Kiss you and tell you everything is okay. Well dear wife it is not and I am still undecided on what to do about your behavior.'

Amor sat quietly not daring to speak because she knew that she was in the wrong. Plus there was nothing that she could say or do that would rectify what she had done.

' I promise you nothing happened. We sat in his living room and Bella left after an hour, when her boyfriend called her. Robert begged to explain himself when I tried to leave and I don't know why but I stayed and listened to him apologize for the past.'

' I will tell you why! It's because you are still inlove with him.'

' No Caleb I am only inlove with you. I just needed closure. I think. '

' I hope it was worth it and you got the closure you needed because you're never ever seeing him again!'
