Weird

"There's something really weird about this place. I can't quite explain it, but why does this island feel different?" I ran a hand through my hair as I stared into the forest. That forest always captivated me; there was something inside it that sparked my curiosity.

"Well, curiosity can lead you into danger. You better watch what you say, or who knows? Maybe you'll meet death?"

I startled at the voice behind me. When I turned to look at her, she just smiled. Her aura was intimidating. I also noticed everything she wore was black, with something piercing through her ear.

"Wait, are you talking to me?"

"Probably. I heard what you said. Just don't say I didn't warn you. The truth might not be what you want to hear." She sat down beside me, wearing a poker face. I was in awe.

"How long have you been staying here?" I asked, munching on chips. She smiled before reaching for some chips that were supposed to be mine.

"Why? I'm studying Environmental Science." I couldn't help but marvel at her beauty, but her voice had a commanding tone that could soothe anyone.

"You're studying a multidisciplinary program that covers biological and physical sciences like soil science, ecology, physics, chemistry, geology, and geography. Its main goal is to equip students with knowledge of how environmental systems function and how to solve emerging issues."

Giving me a death glare, I smirked. You can scare me with your face or your voice, but I'm a monster when it comes to knowledge.

"You're smart. I hope you'll help us."

I raised an eyebrow, furrowing my brow. What was she talking about? Help? For what? As far as I knew, I didn't want to tutor any students here, as I struggled enough studying on my own.

"Help? What?" She stood abruptly, waving goodbye as she walked away from me. She was really beautiful, but I didn't like her peculiarities. They terrified me.

I watched her walk away when suddenly, a snake-like robot wrapped around her arm. I couldn't help but be amazed as her robot stared at me.

"Cool."

I decided to stand up. I lingered in my room. I had no classes. While cleaning up my mess, I heard a rumble. I ignored it, but Raya suddenly grabbed my hand.

"Camael!"

I furrowed my brow as she suddenly changed form. My eyes widened as I held her. What was happening to Raya? Did Simon know about this?

"Are you okay?"

I bent down to ask, but she suddenly shut down. She returned to her normal, small robot form. I carried her in my arms and decided to take her to Simon.

"Camael! Let's go back to our room! I'm tired of all these---wait, is that Raya?" Ponus flew over to us and carried Raya in his robot arms.

"What happened?" I glanced back at where we came from. What happened? Why did she suddenly change like that? Maybe there was something wrong with Raya's body, causing her to malfunction?

"I don't know. She suddenly became like that. I don't know why. Come on, let's go. Help me. Let's talk to Simon. Find out where he is now." Ponus began tracking Simon as I looked into the forest.

I badly wanted to go there, right now.

"He's in the laboratory. 156th floor, Fenimbus Building."

When we reached the building, we used the elevator. A few minutes later, we arrived at Montrearde's room. I peeked in and saw Simon performing an experiment.
