Preparation

"I didn't have the chance to sleep that well," I said, feeling embarrassed as I glanced at Rylea, whose face was clearly still groggy.

"Why?" Krich asked while combing her hair. I stared at the two of them, surprised that they ended up together. I was about to eat my pancake when Rylea spoke again, making me feel even more self-conscious.

"I heard some moans... I don't know where they came from." I almost choked on my food and squeezed my eyes shut, feeling a pang of discomfort between my thighs.

"Maybe it was just some wolf robot?"

"How could it be so loud? I couldn't get a decent beauty rest before graduation!"

"I wonder if she knows what's behind those moans?" I whispered to myself.

I decided to step outside to avoid Rylea noticing my reactions. I ran my fingers through my hair and was surprised to see Simon training with Rald without a shirt.

When his gaze fell on me, he immediately winked. I didn't realize I was blushing. I shook my head and watched them practice, still feeling the ache in my thighs.

He even gave me a smirk.

"That's weird..." I heard Rylea's voice from behind me.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Nothing. Anyway, Camael... do you have any plans to do your own makeup?"

"Is it necessary to get ready?"

I shook my head. I didn't plan on doing anything elaborate because I wanted to keep things simple. The joy we'd experience would be brief, so I didn't see the point in going all out.

"I'm not going to do anything."

"Holy mother of penguins! Camael Wise! You're the smartest woman I know, yet you don't know how to make yourself more beautiful?"

"Real beauty isn't this..." I said, pointing to my face.

"Outer beauty fades, while inner beauty lasts."

I pointed to her chest. My eyes widened when I felt a familiar arm wrap around my waist. I felt a strange sensation.

Suddenly, I recalled last night's events. Simon, being the scientist he is, must have meticulously studied what we did. I felt my cheeks flush as I remembered how loudly I moaned and how much he claimed me.

I was sensitive to Simon's touch, feeling as though he was still caressing me the way he did last night. He had kissed every part of me, leaving marks to show that I belonged to him.

Simon hugged me from behind, which felt awkward. I pushed away the seductive thoughts that popped into my mind. After all, he's my other half. He's seen me naked; there's nothing to be shy about.

"What's the problem here?" Wiliana stepped out of the tent, raising an eyebrow. Simon raised his own eyebrow, as if challenging her.

"Simon, we're just borrowing your girlfriend—"

"She's my wife."

"You're not even married yet!"

"I know, but we will be," he said sarcastically.

I laughed at Simon's sarcasm. His childish behavior always made me smile whenever I wasn't in his sight.

"We're just borrowing your wife! Just so you know—" Wiliana began, but Simon cut her off.

"She's the highest ranking among the camp Psychology students... and probably among the rest. Congratulations, Wise." My eyes widened in disbelief as I looked at Simon. He responded with a smile and a kiss on my lips.
