Flying Saucer
"Montrearde, I'll show you something."
I led him to the storage room and took a small knife. I threw it at the red button, causing the passage to open up to where the flying saucer was stored.
"What place is this?"
"Just follow me."
We made our way through the passage, and when we reached the end, we both jumped. I pulled him closer to the flying saucer.
"When I saw you and Wiliana fighting, I was going to tell you about this. But since you were busy with your training with her, I kept it a secret." He smirked, which made my eyes roll.
"What?"
"I saw you that day. I followed you." My frown deepened at his words.
"What?!"
"I was just waiting for you to tell me." He suddenly jumped into the flying saucer and stood there.
"Only four people can fit in here." I nodded. I climbed in and went to the control panel of the saucer.
"Do you know how to fly this?" He shook his head in response. He got out, and I did the same. We walked towards the line of robots, and he touched each one.
"They can still be repaired."
I kept staring at him. I could tell he was studying the robots just by looking at them. We left and returned to the base. As we arrived at the tent, I heard noise from a distance.
"Did you hear that?"
"What is it?" Simon frowned. Before he could grab me, I took off running away from him. I heard his repeated shouts, but I ignored them.
I ran quickly towards the forest.
I heard Simon calling out to me, but I didn't look back. His voice grew fainter and fainter. I eventually distanced myself from him. When I reached the edge of the forest, I climbed a tree. There, I saw a woman running.
She needs help.
I jumped down and pursued her discreetly. I tried to overtake her, but just as I was about to grab her, an arrow struck her back. She looked at me, blood pouring from her wound.
Her eyes were telling me to hide.
I wanted to help her, but I stopped approaching her. She kept shaking her head while looking at me. I wanted to pull her away and carry her to safety, but her face showed that she didn't want me to get hurt because of her.
I hurriedly climbed the tree. I watched as a robot dragged the woman's body. I stepped back, causing a twig to snap. The robot's eyes widened as it suddenly turned towards me.
"Enemy! Enemy!" it shouted as its tentacles extended. I leaped and grabbed one of its tentacles. I missed my landing, and my leg got caught. I tried to move closer, but the robot strangled me with its tentacles.
I wanted to fight, but I couldn't. I was running out of breath, and I felt myself turning red from the tightness of the robot's grip. Weak and desperate, I reached for my gun in my shoe. I aimed for the robot's neck and pulled the trigger. The robot started malfunctioning. I seized the chance to kill it.
Its tentacles flailed wildly, and I dodged the fire and bullets it shot at me. I narrowly avoided being stabbed and deflected a sharp katana from my face. Despite the pain in my leg, I forced myself to move through the intense agony.
When I finally reached it, I opened the button on its back and cut the wires. The robot shut down, and I felt a wave of relief as I looked at the lifeless machine.
