Birthday
"Happy birthday, quatros!" Janus and Caldrin shouted.
I rolled my eyes at the nickname they kept using for my babies.
"And happy baptism day!" Daddy Jupiter added. I caressed my babies' cheeks and let them walk around. Even though they were only two years old, they could already walk.
"There you go, Janus! You're going to be a godfather now. Don't be stingy!" I laughed as Janus suddenly hugged me.
"Camael, you're wealthy enough."
"You're just stingy!" Caldrin teased. I laughed as my children came running to me.
"Let's go!" My babies clung to me as if they didn't want to go anywhere without me.
I held Ronan and Evanthine, while Ronan held Camaeron's hand and Evanthine held Leviada's.
"Looks like your babies are mama's boys, Camael?" I smiled at them. If Simon were still alive, I'm sure all my boys would be daddy's boys.
"M-Mama... mama!" My eyes widened as they all spoke at once. Tears fell from my eyes. This was the first time they had said "Mama."
"What is it again, babies?" They each came up to me, smiled, and even kissed my lips.
"Holy shocks! They can talk at the age of two?" Wiliana exclaimed. Everyone was looking at me and my children.
"Mama, l-l-love you."
I couldn't help but tear up with joy. My babies now knew how to talk. I was so proud of them.
"Mama loves you too, so so so much!" I kissed each of their noses, carried them to the car, and strapped them into their seats. I then went to the driver's seat. Janus knocked on the window.
"Camael, can I hitch a ride?"
"You're really always so stingy." I moved to the shotgun seat and let him drive.
"So, where did they learn to talk?" I shrugged. Where did they learn it?
"I-I don't know... I just always let them watch the flat screen."
"Fast learners, my nieces and nephews."
"Well, what do you expect?"
"I wouldn't be surprised if they showed their talents by the age of five." I smiled as I glanced at my sleeping children.
"Being a mother is so hard. It's incredibly tough, especially now that I'm a single mother. It's not easy to take care of children. Some mothers struggle with just one child, so imagine how hard it is for me with four. It's exhausting but so worth it, especially when I see my children growing up well."
"For me, you're the bravest and strongest independent woman I've ever known." I smiled at Janus. I hadn't realized we had already arrived at the church.
"I'll carry Ronan and Evanthine."
I let him carry the two while I carried Camaeron and Leviada. When we entered the church, everyone was already there. As we walked, the two in my arms started to squirm.
"I think they want to walk?" I set them down and let them walk.
I smiled as they raced to the front. When they were almost there, Ronan waited for his siblings before they all approached the priest together.
"That's what you call, 'no one left behind.'"
I joined them.
I spoke with the priest. The baptism began. All the godparents of my children gathered, holding their candles. I carried Levi. Janus carried Ronan, Williana held Evanthine, and Rylea held Camaeron. The priest poured water over their heads three times.
