Stole
"I have to do this."
I quickly put on my black mask as I left my room. I was heading to the library to get the book. I need to retrieve it. I know it contains secrets hidden within the constitution.
"Just wait for me and I'll get that." I sighed deeply before hiding myself behind a tree. I tied my hair back before proceeding to ensure nothing obstructed my view.
"5:55 pm. Do I still have to wait for 5 minutes?" I scanned the oval to see if there were still people around until the bell rang, signaling the lights would be turned off. I kept watch for any robots around me or on patrol.
I opened my watch's flashlight. I carefully slipped through the sides to avoid being seen. When I reached the back of the library, I saw the librarian leaving. She glanced around before finally departing, probably ensuring no students were left.
I quickly climbed the tree and jumped the distance to the library balcony. When I tried to open it, I couldn't. It was closed. I thought they usually left the balcony door open since hardly anyone would attempt to climb this high except for me.
"Wait..." I took out the hairpin and picked the lock until it finally opened. I slowly pushed open the metal door. The sound of it opening added to my frustration as they might find out I entered. It was very dark inside.
"I wonder if there's a laser?"
I took out my powder and blew it. That's when blue lasers appeared. How will I get past this? Maybe I'll end up being a second cut or not because I was able to enter it. I noticed my face.
"This is so strange." I took my watch and scanned the inside to see if there were any CCTV cameras but none. Maybe they're confident no one would try to get anything here?
"Sorry to say this but you should have put a closed-circuit television. This is going to be your fault. I'm a good thief who wants to steal something from you. Something that will reveal the truth about this island."
"I might be hard here."
I walked back and forth. Thinking of ways to pass it.
"Why did they get Ponus from me? It's hard to move alone."
"Whatever..." I was just about to step on the laser when someone pulled me.
"You can't just walk by to that lasers!" Simon shouted.
He's wearing a black-ninja suit also. It made him look more hot but I don't care. I stared at him, blankly. He stared at me also, giving me his cold stares. I saw his jaw clenched followed by biting his lips.
"What? I have my ways!"
"But your ways will lead you to danger! Think of it, Camael! Isang beses ka lang p'wede sumubok d'yan! And what if you failed? You'll die!" I was left stunned. He's a bit right, but will I succeed if I never tried? He let go of my hands as we both stared to the lasers.
"It has a pattern."
He removed his mascara. He still looks so handsome even though I can't clearly see him because it was dark. I stared at him, he stared back also. I glanced up to the ceiling.
"What kind of pattern?"
"Ballet positions... movements," he said as if he could measure how long we were both going. Why should I be with him?
"Plie... releve... saute..." he added, as he remembers that we were studying that during our ballet class. I have no interest in this but I can do it. I just wanted to be left out.
