"Are you planning to make another baby?" Levi asked as we were eating. I almost choked on my food. Why does my baby sound so jealous?
"If your mom can still bear a baby, why not?" Simon teased, getting a gentle pinch on his lip from me.
"Well, make sure it's a girl... Dad," Ronan added. It's really something when you have a father and son agreeing on everything. It just gives me a headache.
"I'll try, 'nak! I'm a sharpshooter after all—ouch!"
I threw my phone at Simon. Why did I even answer this question? I stared at my ring. I've been admiring the look of the ring Simon first gave me and the second one he gave.
I now have three rings: one for the day and month, one like the Aurora Borealis, and one for the world. It seems he wants to fill all my fingers. He says one is a token for the time he was absent and another for when we argue, reminding me that I can't stay mad at him because he's my world. If I fight with him, it's like fighting with the world
"Where did you get this?" I asked Simon, admiring the new ring.
"I asked Dad to get it for me."
"How much?"
"Not that expensive."
"Simon."
"What? I'm telling the truth."
"How much?"
"I love you."
Simon then carried Ronan and Evan upstairs, both of whom had fallen asleep. I picked up Camaeron and Levi and followed him. I saw Simon kiss them goodnight before leaving the room.
I placed Camaeron and Levi in their beds and kissed their foreheads. Turning off the lamp, I closed the door and was greeted by Simon's kiss.
"Can you feel the coldness?" he asked. This was his way of signaling what was to come.
"Should we share each other's warmth?"
"Bet."
And with that, he kissed me passionately. These were the touches and kisses I had been waiting for, wrapped in his arms. I missed this feeling so much.
We were now in the helicopter, and I could feel my sleepiness returning. I hadn't slept well the previous night, thanks to Simon's constant affection. I had hardly managed to rest because he kept kissing me until I fell asleep.
As I woke up, the kids were already getting off the helicopter. I jumped down and stretched, feeling the warm temperature of the Philippines along with Simon's embrace.
We got into the car, and I didn't hesitate to get in. I carried Levi and Ronan inside while Simon drove us home.
"Got tired so much?" Simon teased, which only annoyed me further.
