Worried
I WOKE UP inside my room and saw Simon sitting beside me. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I couldn't remember anything. My head hurt so much.
I rubbed my head. It was pounding like a hammer. I tried to stand, feeling dizzy. It was as if my bed was pulling me back to sleep. Simon spoke gently, "You're stressing yourself."
"No."
"You don't need to be that smart, Wise. It's not about pressuring yourself to absorb all the information; it's about enjoying and understanding it. Analyze rather than memorize."
"Well, I need to prove to myself that I deserve a license after all. Even though there are only robots here, I still have to study hard... for myself." I glanced at him.
"I will prioritize my studies, no matter how stressful or depressing it gets. I have to stay sharp while pursuing my dream... whatever it takes."
He handed me a glass of milk. I checked my watch, realizing it was already past evening.
"How long did I sleep?"
"10 hours." I widened my eyes at that.
I glanced at Simon.
"I really slept for 10 hours?"
"Your body wasn't tired, but your brain was," he said, sitting beside me.
I could see the fatigue in Simon's eyes. I was sure I had tired him out with my situation. He needed a deep sleep. I didn't want him to lose sleep because of me. While he was asleep, I made sure before heading to the bathroom.
I stayed there for an hour, carefully opened it. I saw Simon sleeping. I quickly changed clothes, moving quietly so as not to wake him. Fortunately, he didn't notice me. He shouldn't hear the noise of my shoes. When I got out, I felt the cold air. I ran and ran.
"I need to do this." I'm sorry, Simon.
I climbed the tree and peeked at the end of the forest. I saw the peaceful sea here. I climbed down from the tree and ran and ran until I reached the middle part.
There I saw the robots lined up. I just stared at them. I noticed they were all off. Just as I was about to charge, someone grabbed me by the waist.
"He's right. You really love danger," Rald uttered while trying to carry me. I kicked his balls and quickly ran inside the tent.
But I was wrong because it wasn't a normal tent. When I entered, it was a large scientist's laboratory. I hid under the table. I saw the robots doing something.
When I widened my eyes, I saw the two people lying down. I couldn't look at them because my vision was blurry from a distance.
"I need to help them." But that's when the school head entered and quickly walked towards the two tied down. My eyes widened when I saw the robots.
"Is he their master?" I asked myself. I wanted to see his face. I wanted to know what the leader of this island looked like.
Now, I was annoyed seeing the back of the master. I really wanted to attack, but I knew I had no chance against them. I stayed in my place while trying to catch sight of the two lying there and the face of their master.
I trembled with anger. Here in front of me was the reason for the suffering of everyone on this island. I wanted to slit his throat or beat him until he could no longer breathe and beg me not to kill him.
I clenched my fists while staring at his figure with his back turned. He was lucky because all I had were a knife and a gun. I knew I had no chance against his armed robots. Besides, there were scientists with large bodies here. I knew I had no chance against them, so it was better to watch them from here.
