Annie had trouble falling asleep that night, the evil grin of Captain Hook still haunting her mind. The Lost boys slept peacefully in their beds, safe and in one piece from the gruesome battle that had taken place on one of Neverland's beaches earlier in the day.

The teenage girl knew that sleep wouldn't be coming anytime soon, and she grew bored of laying in her bed staring at the roof of her tent. Annie got out of bed, her feet hitting the soft yet cold ground. With no source of light, Annie blindly made her way around the room until her eyes had a chance to adjust to the dark. Her eyes had been adjusted to the roof, but now Annie had to find her dresser and shoes.

After a few minutes of quietly searching for socks, a sweater, and shoes, Annie made her way out of her tent. A fire crackled away peacefully in it's pit, not having an audience but still dancing happily in the air. It was alive with magic, of course. Enchanted to stay ablaze, and never growing out of control. As Annie stared at the orange light she remembered a story that Tanner once told her. He explained that the fire was a way of protection for the Lost boys. If anyone dared to intrude on Pan's camp while it's inhabitants were vulnerable and asleep, the fire would burn them to a crisp. A pile of ashes would replace them. Annie never witnessed anything of the sorts, and always assumed Tanner was just messing with her.

To say that Annie didn't miss Tanner and Hunter was a lie, but she was glad the two brothers had found their happy endings.

Annie walked over to the fire pit, taking a seat on one of the logs surrounding it. She pulled the hood of her sweater up closer to her ears, a coldness creeping down her neck caused by the soft breeze traveling through Neverland.

The sound of someone's voice was distant, but Annie's ears managed to catch it. As she looked over her shoulder, to where she assumed the noise was coming from, Annie noticed a crack of light seeping out of Peter's tent. The girl rose to her feet, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Annie thought maybe it was just a Lost boy in the kitchen, grabbing a late night snack. As she walked over to the tent, trying not to step on any stray sticks or leaves, Annie recognized Grayson and Peter's voices.

"You need to trust me on this!" Peter yelled, making Annie wince. His voice was loud, even though he was still pretty far away. He wasn't loud enough to wake up any of the boys.

"Why? What will this accomplish?" Grayson yelled back, his tone matching Peter's. It was rare that Grayson ever raised his voice, especially to his own brother. Annie couldn't even imagine what his face looked like, since she's never seen him extremely mad before.

Annie didn't hear Peter's response as she stood outside the tent. She carefully went inside, tip-toeing through the kitchen. Very slowly, Annie pulled the flap of Pan's tent back to see into his bedroom.

Peter sat on his bed, hands in his lap, while Grayson stood in front of him, shirtless and his dreamshade wound exposed. Both were red in the face, while a prominent vein poked itself up against the side of Grayson's neck. Annie gasped at the black lines running up Grayson's forearm, looking like roots of a flower crawling through his skin.

Annie quickly moved out of the doorway as both boys looked over, the flap of the tent falling back into place and concealing her from the brothers. The sounds of Pan's bed squeaking made the girl run out of the tent, darting to the nearest hiding spot; beside the leader of the island's tent.

"It was just the wind, Ethan." Grayson stated as both boys walked out of the tent and into the darkness of Neverland.

"I've been here for a very long time, Grayson. I know what the wind sounds like and that wasn't it." Pan practically spat the boy's name as he looked around camp, trying to see who or what had just been in his tent. "And do not, ever, call me Ethan."

Pan went back into his tent just as thunder rumbled across the sky. Annie knew he was pissed, and sighed in relief that she hadn't been caught. After waiting for Grayson to go back inside, Annie made her way back to her own tent. The two boys were up to something, and Annie wanted to know what. She knew'd it have to wait until morning though, as a large yawn escaped the girl.
