Annie's legs burned as she ran through the jungle, with her lungs in desperate need of air. She pushed all feelings of discomfort into the back of her mind, too determined to get to camp and see Grayson. The girl's brown hair whipped around her head as she frantically tried to find her way back to camp, growing frustrated by how all the paths on Neverland were nearly identical.

Taking one wrong move, and before Annie could comprehend what was happening, the teenager was flying through the air and landed with a painful thud on the dirt ground. The leg she had already injured earlier today was throbbing in pain after colliding with Earth.

Annie let out one loud, frustrated yell as she turned to sit on the ground, looking down at her leg. Her pants were filthy with dried mud, but that wasn't all. Blood slowly started seeping through the green fabric, and Annie let out a shaky breath as she reached down to touch her leg. She had no idea what had caused the bleeding, probably something she collided with as she fell. All she knew was her head was starting to spin from how broken, bruised, and exhausted her body was.

Trying to concentrate on the unnatural energy that coursed through her veins, Annie used her magic to heal her wound. She didn't even bother looking at it, not wanting to see her own self in such a traumatic state.

Annie's breathing became rapid and shallow as she felt her magic flow out of her hands and into her leg, healing her wound. Once the burning pain turned into a dull ache, Annie allowed her entire body to relax. Instead of her back hitting a tree trunk, the girl fell all the way back so she was lying on the ground of Neverland. She didn't care though, she was too tired to care about anything right now.

Except Grayson. Remembering why Annie had even ventured into the jungle in the first place, she slowly got to her feet out of fear that she would collapse from not being able to hold herself up. Her vision went dark and spotty as a head rush overtook the girl, replaced by a faint head ache. Not sure how she could get any worse, Annie let out a sigh and started walking through the jungle. She rushed but was careful about it, realizing that running only caused her to get injured.

Finally, to Annie's relief, she saw a break in the trees and had reached Pan's camp. Annie followed the path into the large clearing where the dark green tents all stood in a row, and the fire place where all the Lost boys sat. None of them seemed to notice Annie's arrival, or just didn't acknowledge her.

"Pan! Where are you?" Annie shouted, catching the Lost boy's off guard from her outburst. A few glanced over, Annie noticing the sad expressions on all their faces. One sniffled, another looked so mad that there was a potential for smoke to come out of his ears.

"He's not here, Annie." Jakob spoke up, his eyebrows turned up in despair. The boy rose to his feet, and walked over to Annie.

"Where is he?" Annie asked, her tone softening. She knew something had happened, the boys were never this sad for no good reason. "W-where's Grayson?" The girl's voice broke as she asked where her best friend was. The last news she had of him was that he had collapsed in the jungle. Now, both him and Pan were absent from the camp.

Jakob didn't respond, and just reached out to give Annie a well-needed hug. He allowed the girl to lean her weight on him, finally having something or someone to hold up her fatigued self.

"I'm sorry, Annie." Jakob mumbled into her messy brown hair, that was messy from the wind and full of dirt.

"Where is he?" Annie repeated, letting out a sob that was muffled by Jakob's shirt. All the other Lost boys made their way over, embracing Annie and Jakob in one large group hug. A cluster of kids that only had each other, and had been through so much together.

"I can take you to him." A voice said behind Annie and the boys. The deep, familiar voice of Peter Pan. "Annie." Hearing her name caused the Lost boys to let go of the girl so she could turn around and face Neverland's leader.

Annie was at a loss for words. All of the anger she held for Peter had vanished, replaced by sadness and a desire to know where her best friend was. Peter knew where Grayson was, and Annie found comfort in the fact that she'd be able to see him.

"Please. Take me to him." Annie breathed out, earning a nod from Peter as he indicated Annie's request had been heard.
