"Hey, I'm here. Where am I supposed to go?" I asked through my phone.

"Don't go anywhere, tell me where you are and I'll come find you." Althea answered.

"I'm in the parking lot by my truck."

"Your twenty one years old, why can't you just walk in and ask where her office is?" Althea pushed.

"First of all, shut up, and second of all you miss me," I laughed over the phone.

"Fine, I'll be down in a sec." She huffed and hung up the phone.

I was outside at The Palace dance studio waiting for my best friend. I was interviewing with Parris herself today, my best friend Althea had called a couple days ago and said that I had first grab at a choreographing position that just opened up if I wanted it. It was a good paying job, way better than the one I have now, and I love dancing, so there was no way I would pass up this opportunity and if it works out in my favor it will better the lives of me, my younger brother, and my son. I know what you're probably thinking, twenty one and already have a kid, wow. My son Oscar is three years old and the best thing that's ever happened to me. He is a little tall for his age and shares my caramel skin and and dark semi curly hair. The only part of my son that's shared with his mother is his eyes, I will give her credit for that, she had the most beautiful blue hazel eyes. We met when we were seventeen, we waited until our one year anniversary to be with each other and the condom broke. She left me six months later with no warning and I haven't seen her since. Ozzy and I have been fine ever since.

If I would've had to go through this alone. I don't know if I would have made it this long without Althea and her family, they took me in when my mom left me. Growing up was great up from what I've been told up until my dad passed away when I was ten. It was a car accident and my mom and I were in the car, she's hasn't been the same since. She dropped me off at the Strydom's when I was six and came back months later with a baby boy, my younger half brother Lucas Hanson, he also plays a huge roll in Ozzy's life. He's not like most fifteen year olds, he helps me out with Ozzy when I'm at work and he has a job himself to help pay for everything. I hate that he had to grow up so quickly, but it's what needed to happen for us to stay a float.

"Hey loser, let's go!" Althea shouted across the parking lot, I laughed and jogged over to her. We walked into the building and Althea guided me to Parris's office.

"You ready?" She asked.

"Just a bit nervous," I sighed.

"You've got this, there's no way you won't get the job," Althea smiled at me.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, you're going to be just fine. Be prepared, because if she likes you, you're going to have to dance," she warned me.

"Will you dance with me?" I asked her.

"Definitely, but what are we going to do?"

"Silence," I told her.

"I'll go find a couple of thick headbands," she smiled.

"I don't want to waste your time though, just incase I don't get it," I told her.

"I'm going to go find some head bands and you're going in there and you're going to rock this interview," she smiled at me. I pulled her in for a quick hug and then knocked on the door.

"Come on in!" I heard through the door. I walked into the office and saw the women herself sitting behind the desk.

"Hi, you must be Daniel," Parris smiled.
