Today was the day I was meeting with Alex, I explained the situation to Parris, and she was a lot more understanding about this situation that I thought she would be. I didn't tell Kirsten that I was meeting with Alex; I didn't want her to worry. Althea was coming with me because I didn't trust myself alone with her. There were a lot of unresolved feelings between the two of us. We have a lot of history together. We were together for almost three years.

As we got closer to the park where we were meeting her, I could feel my nerves building more and more. We both got out of my truck, and I offered my hand to Althea. I mean, we weren't dating or anything like that, but she's my best friend, so this is kinda normal for us to do stuff like this.

"Let's just get this over with," she whispered in my ear and then kissed my cheek. I saw Alex sitting at a picnic table, and we both went and sat across from her.

"Of course you're here," Alex scoffed.

"Don't talk to her like that. You're lucky that I agreed to meet with you in the first place," I snapped at her.

"Come on now, baby, you know you missed me," she laughed with a cocky smile on her face.

"Like hell, I missed you! You abandoned my boys and me!" I yelled. I could feel Althea's hand on my shoulder, which slightly calmed me down. I took a deep breath and calmed down.

"Don't talk like that. That's all in the past. I want to talk about the future, our future," she smiled and tried to reach for my hand, which I immediately pulled back.

"We don't have a future. I came here to tell you to leave my family and me alone. We don't want or need you," I growled.

"He's my son to Danny, you can't keep him from me," Alex laughed.

"I have full custody, and you don't have any rights, so yes, I can keep him from you until he asks to see you. And that may never happen, Althea let's go, I have nothing more to say," I demanded and stood up. We both were halfway to the truck, and I sighed.

"Danny, I'm sorry!" I heard Alex shout, and it stopped me dead in my tracks. That's all I've wanted to hear from her for the past three years, I'm sorry. Maybe I should go back and hear her out.

"Don't do it, Danny, you're going to regret it. Think about Oz and Kirsten. I mean, you didn't even tell your girlfriend that you were coming here today," Althea sighed. She was right. If I went back, it wasn't going to end well for any of us. But now I feel so guilty, and I miss her loads.

Me: Hey, Baby. I know you were probably wondering where I was today. I would like to see you later and explain. Let me know. Hopefully, see you later.

For the next few hours, I sat at home, and I hadn't gotten a reply from Kirsten, which made me feel even worse. Someone must have told Kirsten-- I can't think of any other reason she'd be ignoring me. Althea was trying to cheer me up, but it wasn't working. I can't stand the thought of Kirsten being mad at me. I was lying in bed with Ozzy when there was a knock on my bedroom door and looked up, hoping to see Kirsten. It was just Luke.

"Oh, hey man," I mumbled, looking into the mirror to fix my hair.

"Don't look so pleased to see me!" Luke joked, coming up behind me and laying a hand on my shoulder.

"What's up, DD?" I sighed and turned to face him.

"Kirsten hasn't come yet. I think someone told her I was meeting Alex before I had the chance to explain to her what was going on," Luke's face softened, and he patted my shoulder.
