I took up the driver's seat position for tonight as I wanted to let Althea and Kaea drink since it's been a while since they've been at a party like this. I was at the party just last week with Ezra, Elvis, and Simon, so I think I can handle not drinking for one night.

"I'm super excited to see who she's collabing with!" Kaea said, clearly stoked to be invented.

"Me too," Althea smiled.

"Uh, your friends with Parris...you probably already know," I laughed, and Althea winked at me.

"My lips are sealed," she giggled. We arrived at Parris' house within half an hour, and the place was already packed. Luckily I spotted Ezra and Simon standing by the bar.

"Hey." I waved at them when Kaea and Althea went to go and find Parris.

"Hey mate," Ezra smiled, casually bringing me in for a quick hug. If I'm honest, I was really Ezra's biggest fan, or Simon's for that matter. After what he did to Ruthy, you can't just slut-shame someone in an interview. He was in an interview with Simon and some of the other dancers.

Still, one of them said that they all had a go with Ruthy, and then they all added onto it; Ezra didn't stop them; he participated in it. But I'm glad they could work through their issues and at least be civil with each other. Of course, Ezra is still my guy best friend, and I know he regrets hurting Ruthy every day.

"Where are the girls?" Simon asked. Looking around behind me as if expecting them to appear.

"They couldn't make it tonight," I shrugged and leaned against the bar.

"You want a drink? It's on me," Ezra offered. I quickly shook my head.

"Designated driver," I chuckled.

"I'm gonna go find Anesi," I said, remember that he was here. I haven't really talked to him long since things with Althea obviously didn't work out. I was looking around for a while before I spotted him with Jacob, Quinn's replacement, Maddie, and Martina.

"Yoooo!" Jacob grinned, quick to give me a tight hug.

"How've you been, man?" He asked as I gave everyone else a hug.

"Things have been going great, how about you?" I asked with a smile. I felt kind awkward around Anesi, even though I shouldn't. I mean, we grew up together. The last time I saw him, it wasn't a happy time. We would invite him to come places with us, but he always declines.

"Do you want us to leave so you two can talk? I think it's for the best," Maddie suggested. I scratched the back of my neck but nodded anyway.

"Yeah, please," Anesi mumbled. They left us alone, and I sat down across from him.

"I haven't heard from you in a while."

"I know," he sighed.

"I was worried because I didn't think you wanted to be friends anymore."

"I didn't care for a while, I wanted to kill you. But I'm an adult, and I got over it," I laughed.

"Does Althea think that way?" He asked, avoiding eye contact.

"Althea's an adult, and she's with Kaea. If she isn't already, she'll get over it!" I joked.

"Now, can we put this all behind us, or?" I held out my hand. Anesi studied it carefully before grinning and shaking it.

"Course we can." Our conversation was cut short by a voice I thought I'd never heard so soon.

"Danny?" I turned to face her, my heart sunk as I looked at her.

"Kendall." I cleared my throat, scratching the back of my neck. How on Earth was I going to get myself out of this one?

"So... .how've you been?" Kendall asked. She had led me outside so we could talk in private. All I could do was think about how bad this situation is and how there was no way out of it. I cleared my throat.

"I've been okay, what about you?" Kendall sighed and leaned against the brick wall.

"I've missed you, Danny." Fuck me. Sometimes I really just wish that the ground would swallow me up.

"Look, Kendall-" She cut me off, raising her hand.

"Don't. Please. I already know." I nodded and kept my head down.

"I know you're in love with Kirsten. But that doesn't mean that we can't spend time together still. Kirsten went back to Tony, and honestly, you deserve someone who's going to stick by you," She said, coming closer to me. I backed up.

"No, Kendall," I shook my head, raking through my brain to find the words.

"What? Have you changed your mind about me or something?" She asked, biting her bottom lip. I shook my head.

"No. But I.....I slept with Kirsten."
