"I'll see you after school!" I shouted out the door as Luke ran to catch the school bus. I quickly finished packing a lunch for Ozzy and I was on my way to go pick him up. I soon arrived at my childhood home.

"Hey, Chin," I smiled at Althea's dad when he answered the door.

"Hey, Danny boy. Ozzy's waiting in the kitchen with Iz," he smiled and let me in. I walked into the kitchen and before I could even say anything Ozzy was already in my arms.

"Missed you," he mumbled into my chest.

"I missed you too bub," I laughed and stood up, holding onto my son.

"You know you could just leave him here for the day." Izzie laughed.

"It's cool, Parris said I could bring him," I smiled back.

"I know, he's just so sweet, I want to keep him," she laughed again.

"Never!" I screamed, grabbed his bag and ran out the door. I got into my truck and buckled Ozzy into his carseat and we were off to the studio. It wasn't long before I arrived and saw Althea waiting outside for me.

"You didn't have to wait for me you know," I laughed as I got closer to her.

"I wasn't waiting for you, I was waiting for my awesome nephew," she laughed as I handed over my child.

"Feeling the love The, feeling the love," I laughed as we walked into the studio.

"Do you know what you're doing yet for the audition choreo?" She asked as we walked to into the building.

"No freaking clue," I laughed and opened the door to the actual dance studio. Althea gave Ozzy back to me and left us to it. I still hadn't picked any on the songs I was going to use for the audition material or for my audition piece.

"Oz. Yes or no?" I asked as I played Swalla by Jason Derulo. He shook his head and I scrolled some more and landed on Stay by Zedd and Alessia Cara.

"Yes!" Ozzy cheered and went back to playing with his bear. One song down two to go. I think I went through about twenty more songs before I finally decided on No Promises by Demi Lovato and Cheat Codes and Humble by Kendrick Lamar. I figured that I'd use Humble for the juniors, Stay for the teens, and No Promises for the adults. I finished up with Humble after an hour or two and was just starting on Stay when Parris came in.

"How's it going in here?" She asked and Ozzy tucked himself behind me as I slipped my shirt back on.

"It's going, I just finished up on the juniors routine and was just about to start the teens," I explained to her.

"Cool, let's see it," Parris demanded.

"Hey Oz, can you go play with Mau over there?" I asked him, he smiled at me and ran over to the other side of the room with his stuffed bear.

"Cute," Parris laughed and I smiled. I pressed play and counted myself in. I was flowing through the dance without a hitch. I squatted down to the floor as my finishing move and I stopped the music.

"Good. That was good," Parris smiled.

"Thanks," I huffed, letting out a breath I didn't realise I was holding in.

"There's only one thing that I'd change. At the beginning where you have your arms crossed and are bouncing to the beat, you should swipe your hands to the side in a pushing motion," Parris explained and then showed me. Parris had me run through it a couple times and we both tweaked it a little more and then I decided to take a break.

"Auntie Thea?" Ozzy asked when he saw Althea talking to Kyra and Kaea.

"Hey The!" I called and she turned around and I pointed to Oz and she nodded.

"Go on," I laughed and he ran straight to her. I was already halfway down the hall to the bathroom. I go and do my business, as I was on my way back I heard familiar voices.

"He said he won't call back.....and if he does, let me know." Corbyn. I then heard the light sniffles of the small blonde girl. Don't ask me how I know, I just do. I couldn't help myself and opened the door. All three girls looked up at me with wide eyes.

"I'm sorry....I heard you crying and I coul-" I met Kirsten's gaze, her eyes red and puffy with a gloss coating her beautiful eyes.

"I couldn't just walk away." The girls stay silent and just kept staring at me.

"I can leave if you want me to," I offered quickly, that's when Kirsten looks up again.

"Um no...don't go. Maybe we could go for a walk? Get some water?" She asked hopefully. I nodded my head and wait for her to join me by the door, but Ruthy comes over first.

"Look out for her, please," she whispered, her hand resting on my bicep. I nod giving her a small smile.

"What happened?" I asked once Kirsten and I were alone, walking down the hallways of the studio building and she shrugged.

"I broke up with Tony. Or at least I tried to," she mumbles and I can't help but feel angry.

"What do you mean tried to?" I asked, remaining calm.

"He isn't forcing you to be with him, is he?" I asked quickly. Kirsten laughs and shakes her head, but more tears fall down her face.

"N-no, I know he's a cheater now. I just didn't see it before," she shrugs again. I nod understanding. What more could I do? Comfort her? I'm not really sure she would be comfortable with that, I mean we barely know each other. So we continued to walk in silence until we reached the water cooler.

"Here. Let me," I offer, taking a cup and filling it for her before handing her it. She smiles at me weakly. I notice then that her eyes were still puffy and red from crying. The sight made me frown.

"Is there anything I can do?" I asked sadly. I hate seeing her upset. She shook her head, heaving a heavy sigh.

"I'll be fine, but thank you Danny." We were walking back down the hallway in a comfortable silence. I poked her cheek and made a face at her causing her to roll her eyes and shove my shoulder, making me chuckle. We both freeze when Ruthy and Corbyn jumped out, attempting to scare us. I didn't get scared, but Kirsten, she nearly shit herself and grabbed onto me. I thought it was pretty cute if I'm being honest.

"Ruthy, Corbyn! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Kirsten scolded as the pair bursts out laughing.

"It's okay," Ruthy continued to laugh, looking between Kirsten and I, we were still holding hands.

"It looks like Daniel would have come to your rescue anyways," she winked. I felt my face start to heat and I tried to concentrate on something else.

"Oh my god. Kirst, he's blushing!" Corbyn giggled. Kirsten tilts her head to the side in confusion and then looks up t me and I see her lips curve into a smile.

"Oh yeah, so he is," she smirked and I groaned.

"You guys are bullies," I weakly protested. Kirsten rubbed her thumb on my bicep and I feel shivers run down my spine.

"Well anyway, we gotta get back our studio Kirsty, so you can flirt with Daniel later," she laughs.

"Uhm, I'll see you later?" Kirsten timidly asked.

"Definitely," I nod, giving her a charming smile. Althea brought Ozzy back to the studio I was in and the two of us spent the rest of the afternoon messing around and I finished up the choreo to the last two songs.
