I was on my way to back to the studio after picking up lunch for everybody. People give you odd looks when you walk out of a restaurant with twenty-some bags of food. Ezra, one of the other guys that dance under Parris, helped me bring all the food inside. As soon as we finished my phone went off, it was an unknown number.
"Hello?"
"Danny, it's so good to hear your voice." What the fuck. Why was she calling me?
"What do you want Alex? Why are you calling me? Why now?" I sneered and a few people looked at me, Kirsten included. I took a deep breath and walked out into the hallway, Althea followed me, she knew exactly who I was talking to.
"I miss you, I miss my son," she spoke as if it was such an obvious thing.
"Okay Alex, let's get one thing straight, you walked out on us, all three of us. You lost the right to even speak Oscar's name the second you did that," I shouted through the phone.
"I'm on a plane to come see you guys, and I know your still living in the same house."
"Why the fuck are you coming? You left us three years ago all on your own, we've been just fine without you," I continued.
"Don't say that. I love you Daniel, I always have and I always will. I know you love me too, we have a child together." she cooed.
"As far as I'm concerned you were just an egg donor. You didn't stick around long enough to even get to know my son. If you come anywhere near me or my family, I will get a restraining order, I swear on it," I grunted and hung up the phone.
"Are you okay?" Althea asked, placing her hand on my shoulder.
"I'm fine," I snapped right away. She took a deep breath and turned around.
"I'm sorry," I sighed before she walked away. I saw her nod as she walked back into the studio. She knew I was stressed, but that still wasn't an excuse. I took a deep breath and walked back into the studio and the second I made eye contact with Kirsten, I knew she could tell something was off. I spent the rest of the day not really saying more than a couple of words and once ten p.m. rolled around I texted Izzy and asked if Ozzy could just stay the night, I already knew she would say yes, so I shot Luke a goodnight text telling him I would be getting in late tonight.
