"I can't believe you slept with her." Kendall sunk onto a chair, her head lowering. I hesitated but eventually sat down next to her.
"I should've thought things through," I admitted.
"Yeah," she mumbled.
"But it is what it is." She stood up and wiped a tear, trying not to let me see she was crying. God, I hate it when girls cry.
"See you around, Danny." Before I could say anything, she walked away.
"Danny!" Althea yelled drunkenly as she stumbled over.
"I loooove yooooooou!" She slurred. I laughed at her before pulling her to sit down next to me.
"Thank god! Baby, I've been looking all over for you," Kaea sighed, emerging from the house, looking relieved.
"She drank so much. This is the worst I've ever seen her!" She shouted over Althea's loud, painfully out of tune, singing
"I know. Can we get out of here?" I asked. I felt a sudden urge to get my friend home and get out of this situation.
"Yeah, let's go." Kaea was already hoisting Althea up, wrapping one of her arms around her own shoulder. I took the other one, and we headed for the door.
"I'll sit in the back with her," Kaea said once we got Althea to the car.
"Yeah, that's a good idea," I laughed, getting into the driver's seat. On the way home, all I could think about was how much I had messed things up with Kendall. She deserved so much better than that, then me. But I love Kirsten. I know I'm gonna have to make it up to Kendall, but how?
