After we shot the video and Kendall was satisfied, seeing as this was her uni project. I gave Luke the keys to the truck to take Ozzy, Sean, and Lexa back to the house. While we were shooting the video, Luke hung out with the twins while Ozzy and I watched the girls.
By the time we were halfway done, he had come in and asked if they could spend the night. Althea waited around for me because I owed Parris and explanation as to why she just kicked one her dancers out. I explained everything from the time Kirsten and I got together to the reason as to why we broke up. I also mentioned why Althea and Anesi broke up.
"Danny, you should have come to me. I could have helped you out," Parris smiled.
"I'm so grateful to you for giving me this opportunity. I didn't want to burden you with my personal issues," I sighed.
"You don't have to worry about stuff like that. We're a family here; you can talk to me about everything," she reassured me.
"It's good to know. The next time I'm having a life crisis, I promise I will tell you," I smiled, and she pulled me into a hug.
"Now you better go home and get some sleep, I'll see you bright and early for semi's rehearsals," Parris told me as we pulled away from each other.
"Goodnight, Parris, thank you," I smiled at her.
"Thanks for being a good guy Danny. Goodnight." I grabbed my bag and left the building. I found Althea sitting in her car, bobbing her head along to whatever song was playing on the radio.
"Hey," I laughed once I opened the door.
"Hey, how'd it go?" She asked and pulled out of the parking space.
"It was okay, Parris really understood about the mess I found myself in the middle of," I laughed.
"Good, Parris has always been good about making sure we were all okay," Althea chirped. We stopped at a gas station, and I ran inside to pay for the gas and grab some snacks. After I paid, I ran back out to the car, and we were back on the road. I groaned when I felt Althea punch my shoulder.
"Danny, have you seen Kirsten's Snapchat?" The mention of Kirsten's name made my heart sink, but my attention was definitely with her now.
"No? Why? Do I want to know?" I asked, and I sighed. Althea looked upset, and she was about to speak but changed her mind.
"Not now, Danny, don't look until we get home, alright?" She said, giving me a look, and I turned to her.
"Althea, I can handle it," I lied, my voice shaking a little.
"I can't stop you from looking at it, Danny, but please take my advice and at least wait until after I park the car so we can talk about it," she begged.
"Fine," I sighed. I could only imagine what could be on her story, and it killed me to think of the things she could be doing or who she could be with, but I knew this was bound to happen. We were soon home, and Althea and I were snuggled up on the couch watching movies.
"You know, I'm happy to see you moving on. Kendall seems like a really nice girl," Althea announced.
"I-I don't know if I'll ever be able to fully move on from Kirsten....but Kendall's really nice, and she makes me feel happy," I said honestly, shrugging my shoulders. Althea sighed deeply before pulling out her phone.
"You still wanna see Kirsten's story?" She asked, and I nodded.
"Fine. But don't say that I didn't warn you." She handed her phone over to me, and I furrowed my eyebrows together as I looked up at her.
"Go. Watch it...see what you're missing out on," she insisted. I looked back down at the screen and clicked on Kirsten's name. I flinched when I heard loud music coming through, and I spotted Kirsten on the dance floor with some bloke I didn't recognize. I looked further and saw that Ruthy was dancing with Kaea and the girls in the background. I kept looking through the Snapchats until I saw the face of the bloke. It was Tony. Fucking Tony. I knew this would fucking happen.
"I'm done." I clicked away from it.
"I don't want to see it again," I said to Althea, trying to hand her her phone back.
"Keep watching," she said with a straight face, and I shook my head.
"I don't care, Thea. If she wants to be back with Tony, kissing him and-" I stopped myself from going any further because saying it out loud wasn't going to make things any better. Althea looked at me and frowned.
"I'm sorry, D, I just can't stand to watch you chasing someone who's clearly in love with someone else," she sighed.
"I know, I just wish this wasn't so fucking difficult," I sighed and put my head in her lap. We both went our separate ways after that and headed off to bed.
