"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Althea growled, shooting me a glare.

"Woah..." I held my hands up in surrender.

"You and Kirsten are too cozy, Danny. I can't watch you both get hurt by each other again," she warned.

"This is a mistake.

"Maybe it is a mistake, Althea, but I don't think it is." I ran my hand through my hair, letting out a puff of air.

"I've missed Kirsten so much, you don't understand." Althea sighed.

"I do Danny, honestly, but what about Kendall? Does she not make you happy?" She asked in a frustrated tone.

"Of course she does!" I grunted that offended me. Maybe she thinks I was using Kendall or something.

"Then...." She trailed off.

"I don't know," I mumbled.

"I just always find myself thinking about Kirsten. I can't help it, Thea," I said, getting annoyed at myself.

"Fine. If you want to do this, fine. But you better realize what you're doing. You're going to hurt someone," she raised an eyebrow at me, and I just shrugged, which probably annoyed her even more, and she walked away from me.

"Hey, Daniel." I turned to be faced by Ruthy.

"Hey," I mumbled sadly.

"Kirsten knows about you and Kendall, by the way," she said.

"I told her after today." I nodded along with her.

"Danny, Kirsten came here to fight for you. When I told her where I was going, she got ready for you. She loves you, Danny, and she's not gonna let you go until you tell her straight that you don't love her the way she's in love with you," she said, grabbing my hand to make me look her in the eye.

"What's going through that head of yours?" She asked, her eyebrows furrowed, eyes searching for an answer in mine. I took a swig from my glass, trying to buy myself some time to think about things. But if we are honest, the thought that Kirsten came here to fight for me made me so happy.

"I love her, Ruth, I do," I sighed.

"I miss her every single day." Ruthy frowned and pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back tightly.

"I'm sorry, Danny," she whispered in my ear, and I pulled back.

"Why?"

"Just for everything. Kirsten's been through a lot, and I don't know, I'm just sorry because I know that you both love each other," she said, and then she turned to face the dance floor. I looked to see Seth and Kirsten dancing and laughing.

"It must feel good to have them be friends," I said, laughing at what I saw and smiling because Kirsten looked so happy.

"Yeah, it definitely is," Ruthy nodded, grinning.

"Are we friends, Daniel?" She asked quietly. I turned to her and mirrored her grin.

"You bet," I laughed, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"Okay, so from a friend to friend, I deeply suggest that you go and speak to Kirsten," she laughed.

"I'll get Seth out of the way." She walked away before I could react, basically forcing the plan into action. Okay, this is it. Just do it. Just grab her hand. I quickly walked up to her, holding her petite hand in mine and spinning her to face me. Her breath hitched at how close we were; she wrapped her arms around my neck and slowly put my hands on her waist.

"Hey," she whispered. I looked into her eyes and smiled softly.

"Hey." I held her close. As everyone around us danced to the upbeat music. Kirsten and I were in a world of our own. We were here together, just her and I. I held onto her as we swayed to the beat.

"Danny." She eventually said. I hummed and waited for her to continue.

"Kiss me," she said, taking me by surprise. I looked down at her lips and then back to her eyes. I missed everything about Kirsten, and at this moment, I wanted to kiss her so badly that it hurt.

"Kiss me," she repeated. Her eyes were begging me. I lifted my hand to her face, caressing it and letting my thumb run over her bottom lip before starting to lean in slowly. Kirsten leaned in too, and when our lips met, it felt like for the first time. It felt like it always does with her like I was on cloud nine. We both pulled each other closer, her hands running through my hair and my arks wrapping around her frame. When we both pulled away, we had the biggest smiles on our faces. But then Kirsten's expression kinda disappeared, and she smashed her lips onto mine harder. I felt myself grow hard as she moaned into my mouth.

"Kirsten!" Ruthy yelled from right behind us. We both pulled away breathless.

"Seth and I are heading back home. Are you.....are you coming?" She asked, looking at me briefly. Kirsten looked at me hesitantly, frowning slightly before nodding. She was about to walk away but couldn't let her leave. Not again.

"Kirsten," I grabbed her wrist, she turned to face me.

"Please don't leave," I pleaded, unwilling to look at her to see her reaction.

"I-I don't have anywhere else to go Dan-"

"Stay with me," I said instantly. I heard Ruthy whispering something to Kirsten, and I saw her walking towards Seth. I didn't want to move.

"Baby," Kirsten cooed, her hand caressing my face to make me look at her. I did, which made her smile.

"I'll stay with you," she nodded. I grinned and pulled her into a hug, kissing her face all over, making her giggle.

"You want another drink?" I asked, trying to be the gentleman my mum brought me up to be. Kirsten blushed lightly, nodding.

"Yeah," I linked our hands and led us to grab a few drinks. We then headed to the booth where Althea, Kaea, Ezra, and Elvis were sitting.

"Oh, hey," Ezra teased Kirsten, sticking his tongue out at her, Kaea and Elvis greeted her as well, but Althea stayed quiet, staring at the table.

"Uh, Althea?" Kirsten asked.

"Can we talk?"
