"You alright?" Ezra pushed my shoulder as he leaned against the counter next to me, and I shook my head.

"I've fucked everything up," I muttered.

"Everything from Kendall to Kirsten, and now I've gotten Ruthy involved!" I began to get angry at myself, nodded.

"Look. I know what you need." I brought my hands to my temples.

"What?"

"You need to get away from everything. Sort your head out?" He suggested.

"The boys and I are heading back to Whangarei for a week, maybe you should tag along?" Now, this was not the worst idea I could think of right now. But I have to stay Luke's coming home tonight, and I have to go get Ozzy.

"I can't leave the boys here," I said, and Ezra laughed.

"So take them with us. Your grandma loves the boys," He reasoned. I could tell he was trying to convince me.....and it was definitely working. I haven't seen my grandma in almost two years, and I've been slacking when it comes to the boys too.

"Okay," I nodded.

"I'll come with you and the boys." Ezra claps his hands together, but I stop him.

"Let's go get Ozzy; Luke should be here by the time we get back.

"I'll drive." He goes to walk out of the kitchen, but then he stops.

"Maybe you should turn your phone off." Ezra's got a point. I pulled it out and switched it off, handing it over to him. He smiles, and we leave my house. When we got to Alex's house, her mom was already sat outside in the sun with Ozzy in her arms.

"Daniel!" She gets up when she sees me.

"Ezra. It's nice to see you both again," she grinned and hugged us both.

"Likewise, Miss Gerard," Ezra smiled warmly.

"Here's your boy," she smiled and handed over my son. Kira looked at me, and it looked like she was about to cry. She begins nodding as a few tears fall, but she's smiling. I let out a breath of relief and pull her into a hug.

"I'll bring him back, I promise," I smiled at her.

"Thank you," Ezra sighed.

"Yeah, thank you," I smile when we pull away. We all loaded up into the truck and headed home. I walked in and saw Luke lying on the couch. He looked over at me, hopped off the couch, and was in my arms in seconds.

"I missed you," he laughed as we pulled away and picked up Ozzy.

"But I missed you more, little man," Luke laughed, blowing raspberries on Ozzy's neck, causing him to scream.

"Don't unpack your bags, Luke," I told him once the pair calmed down slightly.

"Why?"

"We're going to Whangarei to visit Gran for the week," I told him, and his face lit up again.

"For real? It's been so long," he laughed excitedly. I quickly packed a bag for Ozzy and me, and we were off to go meet Simon and Jacob at the airport.
