Idk if this is already common knowledge but anyway, if you check @fanfic's message board, someone said they got an email and asked for clarification. The email basically said that they started sending the notifications about messages to your notifications tab instead of to your email, which they're under the impression is a good thing, though I pity the poor people following hundreds or thousands of people. You can check fanfic's message board for the whole thing (it's not an official fanfic post but it's very close to the top) but basically it's not a glitch, it's a new update :(
