Yo I can't post a link in here but go check out Taylor Swift's petition for the equality act because fuck homophobes

So Taylor Swift has a new song/video out called You Need To Calm Down and it's basically a whole thing about stop hating people and why are you mad when you could be GLAAD (and that like alone got GLAAD a fuck ton of donations. We love an ally with influence, especially knowing she's got a large country fanbase, which tends to be more conservative. She's really risking everything for this, and neither the homophobes nor most of the LGBT+ community is be happy with her, but at least GLAAD is getting some donations!) and the song itself covers homophobia and sexism, but the video's mostly geared towards the latter, and it features a whole bunch of famous LGBT+ celebrities, from the Fab Five to Ellen Degeneres to Hayley
Kiyoko. It's coproduced (like her life) by Todrick Hall, one of her best friends and a drag queen who made the song Dem Beats (and I didn't realize people actually knew the song until my hip hop teacher played it so I figured I'd plug that in too) so here's the video

And obviously she plugged all their social media after because she's trying to bring attention to LGBT+ celebrities, but she also ended the video mentioning the equality act petition, which has already gotten enough signatures to get it to the White House, but getting more definitely won't hurt, so sign it! She's still got it in her instagram and Twitter bio (technically her bio is "support the Equality Act" but the link is in the website spot that counts right) so you can find it there. It's almost up to 300,000 signatures. Let's get more!

Also I'm (hopefully?) going to my local pride parade next weekend with two of my friends and I've never actually been to pride so I'm not sure what to expect, but both my friends have homophobic parents so I'm kinda their excuse to leave the house that day.

Also I work at Aeropostale which is partnering with an LGBT+ organization for pride month, so they're selling pride shirts and rainbow sweatshirts and sweat pants and socks and flip flops and stuff so I taxied 3 shirts to her (bc buy 1 get 2 free) and I found a really old rainbow "Free To Be" shirt in an old clearance box in the storage room (perks of working there) so I gotta that for her as an extra gift so she finally got to bring those home and hopefully sneak them inside without her parents noticing. There are a bunch of other stores selling pride stuff at my mall tho so I'm hoping we can hit up a few of them before pride and go buy stuff, and I'll check them out next month when they're hopefully on clearance and grab some gifts for my friends because they like The Gay Stuff™️

Anyway today's my first day of summer vacation so hiiii
