I think we had been sleeping for a little while when someone shook me awake. That, someone, turned out to be Muteki. I looked up to see Mangetsu kick Mog and then Sokka awake, his sword in hand and a serious look on his face, and Toph was holding her hand against the ground.

"What's going on?" Mog demanded, only for Muteki to shush him while Mangetsu proceeded to kick Aang awake too.

Mind you; it was more of a jab to the stomach with his foot. Not hurting anyone, but sure as heck, a surprising way to wake up.

"Guys," Toph said, a slight frown forming between her brows. "You're all gonna think I'm crazy, but it feels like a metal man is coming."

Aang sat up with bleary eyes when a light shone in his eye, causing him to squint. We all followed the light with our eyes to see a large man with various metal covered limbs and freaky tattoos on his face staring down at us.

"Uh oh," I said. "I think our cover's blown."

"Run!" Mangetsu cried, lifting the nearby water and causing it to turn into mist as the guy started taking a deep breath.

We scrambled to our feet, gathering what we could with the cover that Mangetsu had given us when an explosion went off, barely missing Mog and me.

"Did you feel that?" he asked, wide-eyed.

"Thankfully, no, I think I'd be missing some vital pieces of me if I did," I answered, tossing Muteki the last sleeping bag as another explosion went off and I heard Mangetsu curse from somewhere in the mist.

"No, I mean, that felt like fire," Mogui insisted.

"You think you can bend that?" I cried.

"I mean, I'm not going to try to get hit on purpose, but it would be a good skill to have," he insisted as he lifted Toph's gear onto Appa, who was growling.

"Hit the deck!" Muteki yelled as another explosion parted the mist and struck just behind Mogui.

"Somebody hit him back!" I yelled.

"Yes, ma'am!" Mogui yelled, throwing balls of rainbow fire towards the point of origin. "Ma'am, visibility is low; target hit not confirmed!"

"You're joking?" I cried. "Now!?"

"No better time," Muteki added, launching sharp rocks through the mist, which had thinned enough that we could see the silhouette of our target. Toph joined in, but the attacker was blasting the rocks out of the air.

"What now?" Aang cried.

"Katara, Mangetsu," I said, an idea forming. "Biggest wave you can muster, do it!"

Mangetsu nodded, raising his hands as he released a deep breath, Katara doing the same. They began back and forth motions, the actions growing bigger as they worked.

"Toph, Muteki, proved some cover, don't let him hit them!" I yelled.

"Orders for me, ma'am?" Mogui mock saluted.

"Muteki mentioned you could lightning bend, see if you can't get a hit in while they work," I ordered.

He nodded and began moving through elaborate motions, his face completely devoid of emotion as he worked up the chi for the attack.

"What about me?" Sokka called.

"You're our get-away guy," I said. "Make sure we're ready to go as soon as those two are done with the water."

Sokka looked slightly disappointed but yelped as an explosion went off not far from him, leaping up onto Appa with the reins in hand. A crack sounded as lightning arced through the air, the attacker turning his attention towards Mog, forcing him to move to avoid being hit. Sounds of rocks exploding, and the crack of lightning echoed throughout the crater, the ozone in the air leaving a metallic taste in my mouth.

Soon, an enormous wave of water moved swiftly towards the guy, which turned to steam as his blast collided with it. I threw a punch, mustering all the firepower I could, as cold as I could make it, and the frosty fire collided with the steam, turning it into murky ice that blocked him as we all made our escape.

"Mangetsu, Katara, get us some cover mist!"

"You are amazing," Sokka complimented as we made our escape. "That plan was awesome!"

"Worry about flattery later; escape now!"
