Zuko lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling, trying to make sense of the scroll. He turned over, staring at it now, unfurled on the table nearby. He picked it up and tried to read it over. He was missing something, but what?
"What does it mean?" he questioned aloud, frustrated.
When no answer was forthcoming, he tossed it aside angrily. It landed on his bedside lantern, the glow and warmth from within causing hidden lettering to become visible. Surprised, he grabbed the scroll to read it over again.
"The Fire Sages keep the secret history in the Dragon Bone Catacombs," as he finished reading, he quickly hid the message and grabbed a hooded cloak, intending to learn what this secret history was.

He hid behind a pillar, waiting for the Fire Sages to pass and give him an opening to proceed further, when a single Fire Sage walked to the middle of the grounds. An enormous medallion decorated the middle of the courtyard, and the Sage crouched low to release a blast of fire into the centre of it. A hidden passage opened, and the Sage vanished into the floor. Zuko waited patiently, a new thing for him these days until the Sage returned and left, and it was clear for him to use it himself.
Once inside, Zuko followed the spiral stairs down into a large chamber that appeared to be lined with the bones of dragons. Moving along, he came upon an ornate door with what appeared to be a metal sculpture of Fire Lord Sozin on it, with the Fire Nation emblem over its chest.
"This must be it," Amaya appeared beside him, scaring him half to death.
"Do you have to state the obvious?" he whispered furiously.
"Blame the guy who created me," she answered sassily. "Oh, wait!"
"Shut up," he grumbled, pressing his hand against the emblem and delivering a powerful blast of fire.
The fire filled the door and poured from the statues eyes, nose, and mouth. It shifted, then slowly opened, causing cobwebs to pull apart and fall. Zuko stepped into the room, pulling his cloak from his head and raising his lantern to look around the dark chamber. It was filled with artifacts and various vessels. A large and intricate dragon statue dominated the middle of the room, and under its head was what he was after.
"The final testament of Fire Lord Sozin," he read aloud as he grabbed the casing in question.
