51. PARTY

After calming down my dad about not having the big friend bash at his place, we all started planning the sit-down dinner for the family.  My dad decided on a BBQ, so I made sure to help make the sides for the party.  I made a big bowl of potato salad, some baked beans, and deviled eggs. June had said she would take care of the desert.  My dad had hired a cleaning crew to help clean up the house, so it was more presentable since Brad, and he didn't do an outstanding job at cleaning while I was gone.  After the crew left Lee, Noah and Brad help move the furniture and set up the tables for dinner.  What everyone didn't know was that I had made up little poppers that were going to reveal the gender of my baby and the fact that I had found out I was having twins.  

I always knew that I was going to have to deal with women throwing themselves at Noah, but I never thought it would happen at my house from one of my cousins.  I was in the kitchen with June when Rachel came in "Elle you need to get out there Noah is freaking out  because some girl named Lucy is hitting on him and even grabbed his ass."  I see red and head out and watch her run her hands up his chest and try to lean in and kiss him.  I walk across the yard and wrap my arm around Noah's waist I feel him stiffen until he looks down and sees me next to him and he instantly pulls me in front of him wrapping his arms around my waist.  At this point, my Aunt comes across the way "Elle you know that Lucy is trying to get to know him better and besides you will never be good enough or pretty enough for him."  I laugh and grab Noah's left hand with mine and say "really because this ring on his finger begs to differ."  Aunt Susan and Lucy I would like you to meet my husband, Noah Flynn.  I am sorry you all didn't make it to the wedding if you had you would have met him there."  All of a sudden my Aunt looks down and smirks "oh, so that is why you two got married."  Before I could say anything, I hear June yell "Ah hell no you did not just insinuate that Elle and my son had a shotgun wedding. For your information Susan they have been married now for four years this is a planned pregnancy."  "Yep, it was mom and if I had my way it would have happened four years ago, but Elle here wanted to wait until she graduated from law school.  What exactly is it you do Lucy?"  "She just looks around stunned and mumbles "I work at Victoria Secrets."  "Oh, and you think that a sales clerk is better for me than a Havard grad."  At this point my dad comes over "What is going on over here everybody is staring?" Aunt Susan replies "Well your supposed son-in-law hit on my Lucy and tried to blame her."  I was about to RIP out her hair when my illustrious twin comes forward "oh, really because I have it on tape where my brother tells Lucy that not only is he married but that he is married to my twin."  At that point, Lee hooks up the camera to the tv we have set up to play a video from the wedding for those who missed it.  There in all her glory, you see my cousin hitting on my Noah.  I couldn't help but laugh "see there is your proof of what I already knew.  My gorgeous husband would not hit on another girl."  My cousin smirks at me "well according to your Facebook page he kissed a girl while he was away at college and you were still in High School."  Noah was the one to respond "Yes, I did and it was the biggest mistake of my life.  I lost my Shelly for six months because of that stupid stupid, mistake and I will never do it again because I know if I did this time I will lose her for good.  She is my life without her my life has no meaning.  Plus to me, no one else will ever compare to the gorgeous woman carrying my child.  My dear sweet innocent Shelly is fulfilling my dreams I have had for as long as I can remember.  She is my wife, my soul, my better half the mother of my unborn child and the woman that made me into the man you see before you today.  Without her, I could have ended up in jail, or worse the father to unwanted children.  She made me want to be a provider, a protector, a husband, and a father.  Rochelle Evans is my sun she keeps me grounded that is why there will never be another mistake involving my fidelity."  I couldn't help but look up at him and wrap my arms around his neck before kissing him "Yes, I know my bad boy Noah Flynn you have been the best protector, provider, husband and given how much you took care of me, my twin and Brad I know you will be a great father.  With that said, please pick up the firecrackers on the table and the count of three aim them in the air and pull the string.  1...2...3 as everyone pulled the string and the blue and pink streamers shot out with the banner Rachel dropped saying twins everyone cheered.  Well except Noah he stood there with his mouth hanging open before looking down at me "Really Shelly baby we are  having twins."  "Yep, Noah my love a boy and a girl." Lee started laughing his head off "too funny after all these years us calling ourselves twins because of our shared birthday and our twinlepathy you're having twins.  This is just too ironic.'  I glare at Lee "Watch it twin the irony can hit you too right Rachel."  "Yep, Rachel hands Lee a card and tells him to read it out loud.  "Congratulations dad we are having twins as well same as Shelly, wouldn't be funny if we delivered the same as your moms."
