Eight // old days

I wake up Saturday around 5p.m. to Jason and Drew arguing over something that happened years ago. Thankfully, their dates were gone and I could be my sloppy self all day with no judgments. I never thought I would be fine after seeing Ryan with another girl but incredibly, I was. The only thing in my mind was the awesome time I had with Calum. Jas and Drew are bickering over who was the first one to find out that Alec was going out with our Biology teacher. I think Drew is wrong but I don't tell him that because he is cooking us lasagna. After 30 minutes of them fighting over who is wrong or right, I decide to call Alec. And boy, I really miss him. Alec and Nate also went to high school with us and we used to be like one big happy family.

"Wassup Gigi" Alec answers my video call

My closest friends call me Gia or G but of course Alec would want to be different.

"Hi handsome. What are you up to?"

I ask as I see he is dressed casually in the middle of the day. Alec went to medical school and he is always at the hospital which leaves us very little time to hang out or even talk at all.

"Actually, I'm having a day off" He laughs to the camera

"What a miracle!" Jason yells at him

"Do you even know what to do with it?" I mock "Hey Al, we have a question for you"

"Shoot Gigi"

"Who was the first one to find out you were going out with Mrs Bloom?"

"What?" He laughs really loud "That was forever ago"

"I know! But I can't stand Jas and Drew arguing anymore"

I show my two idiot friends on camera for Alec to see them.

"Well, I think it was Lis" He says making the two of them look stupid "She walked in on us"

"I told you it wasn't you" Drew says making Jas and I roll our eyes at the same time

"I didn't know that. Lis never said anything"

"I asked her to. Katia could lose her job" He casually says

"Her name is Mrs Bloom" I correct him "It's so weird calling her Katia"

"We are not 16 anymore, Gigi"

"And that sucks" I add making Alec laugh

"It was nice talking to you"

"Don't be a stranger! I miss you"

"Me too" He ends the call with a smile on his face

"You were both wrong" I tell the two idiots standing behind me "As usual"

"What about Sasha's party?" Jason recalls

"That party was so weird" I comment thinking how things have changed since then

Back when Drew and Lis could stand each other. Before I moved out of my parent's house. Back when Jason and I would spend the whole day watching movies and playing video games. Before I even met Ryan. Way before Jason and Gwen's toxic relationship. Before Derek ran away. When things were simpler.

"You kissed Alec in that party" Drew tells me as if I didn't know that

"And you kissed Lis" I fire back

The room goes silent as we all think the same thing. The only noise we can hear is the water running in the sink since Jason is doing the dishes.

"And I first kissed Gwen" Jason breaks the uncomfortable silence "You can say it"
