"Take the car" Calum insists "I'll be stuck in the studio all day and you have things to do"

By things to do he means go search for a decent Halloween costume. Ashton's party is on Saturday and none of us have an idea of what to wear. I also have to go grocery shopping because Calum is running out of toilet paper.

"But I don't want to drive your car" I say "It's too fancy and complicated"

I'm used to driving Jason's car which is too old compared to Calum's brand new Land Rover. Not old, I meant classic. Whatever.

"Complicated?" He laughs "Take the car, Georgia"

Then he opens the passenger door and hops in. Calum looks at me standing on his driveway through the open window with a supportive smile on his face. He really doesn't care that I drive his car. Usually guys are so jealous about their cars but not Calum.

"It has insurance, Gia" He adds when I don't move "If you wreck my car, they will give me a brand new one"

Okay, now I'm convinced.

"It will be almost like a favour if I do wreck your car, right?" I joke as I join him in the car

Calum gives me a brief tour around the car showing me the most important buttons and devices. This car is so tall and large compared to Jason's that it feels like I'm driving a ship. I start the engine and back the car out of the driveway while Calum asks me if I want to choose a song. Usually he would just hand me his phone but today I'm the one driving. I follow his directions to the studio while we try to come up with a creative Halloween costume. Scratch that, I try while Calum keeps showing me cute puppy videos on Instagram.

"Can you please pay attention?" I ask him "I don't even know where I'm going"

"Keep going, I'll tell you where to turn. Look at this cutie" He shows me his phone and I try to look annoyed but the puppies are indeed very cute

When we get to the studio, Calum is still looking at pet videos and we have zero ideas of what to wear to Ashton's party. But before I get to that, there's another place I plan on visiting before. I insert the familiar address in the GPS and follow the directions to the fancy mansion. You'd think I'd know the directions by heart at this point but even after living in L.A. for most of my life, I still get lost in this city. I have to identify myself at the gates before they let me in. The concierge is surprised to see me and I must admit that even I am surprised with myself. I never thought I'd be able to do this.

"Georgia, it's good to see you, dear" Mrs Moore is the one to open the door for me

"Hi, Lydia" She pulls me for a tight hug "I'm sorry for showing up so suddenly"

"Bullshit, dear" She laughs "You're always welcome here. Jason is upstairs"

Jason?

"Jason is here?" I heard her the firsy time I'm just trying to confirm

"Yes, he i-" Mrs Moore frowns "That's not why you're here?"

"Not really. I'm here to talk to you if that's okay" I say only now thinking that she could be busy or have an appointment with a client

"Of course, dear. We can talk in my office"

Mrs Moore asks one of the maids to prepare us some sandwiches and vitamins and tells me to meet her in her office after I talk to Jason. I run up the steps of the massive marble staircase that leads to the upper floor. I remember dreaming about having a house just like this one when I was younger cause it looks exactly like the ones we see in the movies. I enter Jason's room to find him smoking a joint by the window.
