"I'm knackered" Calum states, throwing himself on the bed the second we step inside the bedroom "I'm too old to run around chasing a toddler"
Being able to witness Calum playing with Danny was the cuttest thing I have and probably will ever see in my entire life. He's so good with kids that for a second there I could picture him being an amazing father and I fell even more in love with him - even though I didn't think that was possible. I have a bunch of pictures of Cal playing soccer with Danny and I intend to keep them for eternity.
"Legally, you're not even old enough" I mock him while grabbing my pajamas in the first drawer "But you will be, in 3 days"
"Can I sleep till then?" He dramatically asks, making me roll my eyes at him "I need to rest before I'm 21"
I mumble a little "yeah, sure" on my way to the bathroom where I get changed and prepare myself to sleep. It's not even 10p.m. yet but I'm also very tired and a good night of sleep is very much welcomed. I text Ashton while brushing my teeth, to make sure we have everything sorted for Cal's surprise party on Wednesday and he doesn't take long to reply me, saying he will be going out to buy the booze tomorrow with Luke. I wash my face, wiping off today's makeup and grab a moisturising to take with me back to the bedroom.
"I was thinking we could have lunch together tomorrow" Cal suggests without taking his eyes off his phone "That is, if you haven't made plans with Liam"
"I thought you'd be sleeping till Wednesday" I tease him with a small smile, which leads Calum to give me an annoyed look "I'm down for lunch tomorrow, it's a date"
Talking about lunch dates, perhaps I should tell him about meeting Ryan a few weeks back. I was planning on waiting till after his birthday but the sooner I get this out of the way, the better. I'm scared of how Cal might react but maybe it's all in my head, it isn't even such a big deal. Calum is still friends with Nia, they would probably go out for lunch as well. I would obviously hate it but it wouldn't be the end of the world. Right? Now seems like a good time to come clean about the whole thing. Just say it, Georgia.
"You can take the car though" He informs while standing up from the bed "I'm meeting Mike and a few producers tomorrow so I'll meet you there around noon"
I watch Cal strip down to his white boxer briefs, studying the way his back muscles contract. I reconsider my decision to tell him about my lunch with Ryan because it most definitely will ruin both our moods and wreck all my chances of getting any sex tonight. Or maybe we'll have rough and passionate make up sex after I tell him the truth - which would honestly be a win-win situation for me.
"Is that okay?" Calum asks me when I don't say anything
I mindlessly agree, honestly not paying much attention to what he just said. Cal offers me a small smile before pecking my lips and heading to the bathroom. Tell him, Georgia. Just say it already.
"So..." I begin "I forgot to tell you"
Calum appears on the bathroom's door brushing his teeth and lifts his chin at me as if saying "I'm listening" and I clear my throat before continuing. I'm trying to sound casual about the whole thing but I'm afraid it will look like I'm trying too hard. I grab the moisturising and apply some on my legs, resting my foot on the bed for balance.
"I went out for lunch with Ryan a few weeks ago" I comment, analysing my leg like it's the most interesting thing in the world "He wanted to apologise"
The room becomes silent and I look up to see he has stopped rubbing the toothbrush against his teeth. Calum stands by the doorstep half naked looking at me as if asking himself whether I'm being serious or not.
