"Are you ready?" Jason knocks on my bedroom door

"Yeah" I walk over to him "Can you zip it up for me?"

Lis found me the perfect dress for the night. It's a plain olive green dress with a low cut back neckline and a generous slit showing my left leg.

"Done"

"Thanks" I turn to face him "Looking sharp, Jason Moore"

"You don't look too bad, G"

Jason offers me his arm and quickly grab my silver clutch before accepting it. Drew is lying on the sofa watching a football game and eating chips.

"Well, hello both of you" He compliments "Lemme take a picture of you looking fancy"

Jas and I make silly faces and Drew takes pictures with his phone.

"I wish you'd go with us" I pout

"Too bad I'm not allowed there anymore" Drew scoffs

"Allowed" Jason and I repeat together

It's a stupid inside joke between the three of us. Being allowed is too old school.

"Have fun for me" Drew wishes

I can't help but think about the event that resulted in Drew being black listed. Two years ago, we got into an ugly argument with some assholes that said some shit about Derek, Drew's brother. Jason and Drew got into a fight with them but Drew took all the blame to himself which lead to him being banished from the Hospital's events. It got messy and they could've been arrested if Jason's parents weren't big shot lawyers. Besides, we were all drunk and were underage at the time. Thanks Mr and Mrs Moore.

"Will do" I say "What are your plans for the night?"

"No plans" He shrugs 

I check my make-up once again before stepping out of the apartment. I'm feeling pretty tonight and I can't wait to see how good Calum will look on a suit.

"It's going to be fun" I say after seeing Jason's annoyed face

He absolutely hates going to this kind of things so I knew he would be on a shitty mood. Last year, his mother called me to make sure I would drag Jason to the dinner if I had to.

"Super"

"C'mon, it's not that bad. Fancy dinner for free"

"I'm only going for the open bar"

"And for the kids" I add "Don't forget the kids"

Jason rolls his eyes at me when we reach his car on the campus parking lot.

"We both know they only do this for publicity"

I simply nod not really knowing what to say. He is kind of right. Jason holds the car door open for me while I work on not screwing up my dress.

"You know, my dad won't stop pestering me after seeing you tonight" He says when we are both inside the car

"Is this the Jason way of saying I look nice?" I tease him

"No" He chuckles "It's my way of saying that I think my dad has a crush on you"

"Oh shut up, that'd be disgusting" I scrunch my nose

"He always goes on and on about how I should date you"

"Really?"

"Why don't you date Gia, son? She is a nice girl" He copies his father's voice "Nice family. She would be good for you"
