Elizabeth trotted down the stairs, almost tripping a few times. What was the occasion? Halloween. She was wearing her princess costume, and refused to take it off. She's been wearing it since they purchased it a couple days earlier. She did everything in the dress. She slept in it, went to school in it, played in it, anything you could imagine, she did.

"Why are you still wearing that bloody dress?" William groaned in annoyance, due to the fact that she hadn't taken the thing off for about three days. Elizabeth ignored him though, and continued to walk into the living room.

"Elizabeth, I think you should go change. You'll be able to wear it later." Lea tried to reason with her, instead of cursing. Elizabeth looked at her mother, then plopped down on the floor with her iPad.

"My dad wants us to stop by later." Lea quietly told William, who, got a little confused.

"Who is 'us'?"

"You and I. He said we "needed to talk"." She added quotations around the last part. William almost laughed, not at Lea, but her father's statement.

"Do I have permission to bring a knife?"

"I would prefer if you didn't, only because, ya' know, you're going to end up killing my whole family." Lea pointed out, only making him disappointed.

"But where's the fun in that?"

"Killing shouldn't be fun, you make it sound like it's a hobby."

"What if I said it was?" Lea was obviously getting uncomfortable, because she stiffened slightly. She cleared her throat to change the subject.

"Where are we going to bring the children?"

"My mum is still here, although I wouldn't want to leave them with her."

"Well, unfortunately, that seems to be the only option." William visually and audibly groaned, for unexplained reasons, but they didn't need to be explained. He hated his mother, she didn't do anything wrong, he just wasn't fond of her personality.

"You know the only reason why she is still here is because she's looking for a rich husband."

"Okay, and?"

"You want to leave your children with somebody like that?" Lea sighed, knowing he wasn't going to give up on trying to convince her otherwise.

"Guys, grandma is going to take you out tonight." William sighed, knowing that she had instantly just won the argument.

"Yay! Grandma!" Elizabeth squealed as she rolled around on the floor. William stood up from the couch, and walked to the kitchen. Lea followed him, only to see he had a hand full of pills.

"What are you doing?" She questioned half seriously. He turned around and looked at her, then back at the pills.

"I'm trying to overdose." He replied stoically, making Lea panic and grab his wrist, to prevent him from taking the medication. He looked at her sarcastically, then put the pills back into their bottle.

"Why are you always either trying to hurt yourself or joking about it?"

"Because I have depression?" Lea was getting slightly annoyed at the fact that she didn't get the answer she was looking for, which could've been that she didn't phrase the question correctly. William turned and started to walk out of the kitchen.

"Where are you going?" Lea asked, making him sigh, but not turn around.

"To take a nap, I'm still ill."

"You're not going to eat lunch?" She nagged everybody about not skipping meals, which is something he did a lot.

"No, I'm going to take a nap. Did you not hear me the first time?" She heard the annoyance in his voice, but didn't drop it.
