It had been a couple of weeks since Elizabeth's incident at school. Her burns were healing well, and there were no complications. She was also less talkative, which was always a plus.
It was considerably hot outside, despite it barely being summertime. It wasn't quite humid yet, but the air wasn't necessarily enjoyable.
William had caught some sort of respiratory illness, making it harder to breathe. The hot air didn't make it any better. With him being sick, he was more irritable. He sat up to get out of bed, tired of not being able to do anything.
"What are you doing?" Lea asked quietly, considering it was nighttime.
"I need to get up and stretch." He replied before getting into a coughing fit.
"Are you sure you don't want to see a doctor?" She questioned, referring to his coughing. "That doesn't sound good at all."
"It's just a cold, I'll be fine." He stood up from the bed, stretching his arms above his head before walking to the attached bathroom.
He stood in the bathroom silently before splashing water on his face, glad to be out of bed. Lea was always so serious about bed rest when somebody was sick, it was annoying.
After he felt content with his time and went back to bed, sighing. He knew Lea was trying to be reasonable, but he was getting annoyed with her, even if she was just trying to help. Lea looked at him suspiciously before laying down again.
"I have to go to work tomorrow," William said quietly, making Lea sit up slightly.
"Not like that you're not."
"Love it's important." She made an agitated noise.
"Nothing can be more important than your health." He laid down without saying anything to her statement, which made her slightly more annoyed with his behavior.
"You're being unreasonable Hun." She mumbled, stretching slightly before getting comfortable.
"You say that now. What would you do without my money." She ignored him, trying hard to act like she was asleep. She didn't want to have any more confrontation, especially at this hour.
"Goodnight." He mumbled after she didn't give him any response. She smiled to herself, knowing that he gave up. It made her feel better that he didn't argue back, but she knew that he was tired too.

William was slow to get up in the morning, not used to the working hours. He did get up though, just not as fast as he would've liked. Lea stretched slightly, but went back to sleep, seemingly undisturbed.
He got up and got ready, even though he probably should be resting. When he came back into the bedroom, Lea was sitting up and rubbing her eyes. She stared at him blankly before giving him a tired smile.
"I wish you could stay here today." She groggily spoke. "I don't see why you have to go in, you haven't been in a long time."
"I have a meeting today, I've been told it's important."
"Couldn't someone else do it?" He shook his head no, to which she sighed. He knew how much she wanted him to stay home, mostly for his physical health.
"I have to go now, I'll see you later." He walked out of the room and went downstairs to leave. Elizabeth ran up to him, grabbing onto his leg as she sat down.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Where are you going?" Elizabeth asked sadly. William sighed and pried her off of him.
