Christmas has since ended, all of the people visiting left. It was early in the morning, somewhere around three-thirty. The bedroom door was heard creaking open, it didn't sound like they were trying to be sneaky. A child's feet, padding across the wooden floors, to reach the bed.

"Daddy..." The child whispered, trying to get his father's attention, which didn't work. But he got the attention of his sleeping mom.

"What's wrong, baby?" She whispered to her child, as she turned around to face them.

"I don't feel well Mommy." The little boy told his mom. He was about to cry when his mom sat up and pulled him closer to hug him.

"We're going to have to make an appointment with the doctor.."

"My throat hurts, I have a headache, too." The boy whispered back to his mom. It was flu season, and she hoped he didn't catch the virus.

"C' mon, let's go see if we have any medicine until the morning." She told the boy to follow her, his legs were shaking, so she decided that he should wait there. William woke up to the sound of her returning from the bathroom.

"What are you doing?" He asked, sleepily. Lea put her finger on her lips, signaling he was too loud, which he replied with a groan of annoyance.

"Chris doesn't feel well, I think he has the flu."

"You're just being paranoid just because it's bad this year." He responded to her statement. Lea shot him a look of disapproval.

"I'm being paranoid? You're really one to talk."

"Do you want to die?" She hasn't heard that one in a while. Maybe she would schedule two appointments.

"Mommy, did you find any medicine?" Chris asked, mostly because he was really miserable, more so than he was usually. She nodded with a quiet yes. She poured him some medicine and walked him back to bed. When she returned to her own bed, William was facing the window and looked asleep. She touched his shoulder.

"Don't do that." Is all he said while slapping the hand away.

"Do you need to go back to the doctor for new medication?" She really didn't expect a reply, with words anyway. He hummed in annoyance, which was usually her signal to "shut up before I do something you'll regret".

Everyone was still on break and usually were until New Years was over. The sun was shining through the windows of the house, bringing light throughout the rooms. Lea got up and opened the curtains, making William roll over so he wasn't facing the bright window.

Lea walked over and messed with his hair to wake him up.

"I told you not to touch me." Despite being a little sad from the statement, she smiled anyway.

William got out of bed and stretched, sighing in satisfaction. He walked out of the room with a yawn.

"No good morning, huh?" She mumbled to herself. Something was wrong, but she wasn't going to press the issue. She walked into Chris' room, to see how he was. He looked terrible.

"Hey. It's time to wake up." She whispered to him while running her hand through his hair. Which made him groan, but his eyes opened anyways.

"I feel awful Mommy." She smiled sadly at him, signaling an 'I know'. He sat up and coughed a couple of times. She rubbed his back and helped him up. She really needed to get him to the doctor as soon as possible. William walked in the room, and when she looked at him, he looked almost as bad as Chris.
