The ride to the hospital was anxious, to say the least. It was dark outside, but there was still a ton of traffic. With every passing second, Elizabeth seemed to groan louder out of pain. As much as William got annoyed by Elizabeth, he was worried. He didn't want to admit it, but he loved Elizabeth just as much as the other kids, if not more.

Lea on the other hand was a nervous wreck. Every time Elizabeth groaned or complained that it hurt she would whisper something reassuring, which seemed more for herself than it was for Elizabeth. Usually she would be sitting in the front seat, but because Elizabeth was in the back seat, so was she.

The traffic wasn't helping either. It seemed that every time the car moved, it stopped just as fast. It was almost torturous, not just for Elizabeth, but because of all the anxiety that was building up. It worse than agonizing.

Eventually, the traffic let up, and they were moving down to road at a reasonable pace. There was an urge to run every single light, and to speed, but no matter the situation, the laws still applied. Elizabeth had drifted off to sleep, and every now and again, Lea would check to see if she was still breathing, along with her pulse. Neither of them were doctors, or anything close to it, but anyone could figure out if somebody was still alive.

They finally arrived at the hospital, and the ride felt unusually slow, either due to the traffic or the anxiety and tension that was quickly building in the car. It was unbearable.

"What are you doing?!" Lea whisper-shouted at William, who was pretty much parked in front of the hospital doors.

"Just take her inside, I'll find a parking spot." She briefly nodded before quickly scooping Elizabeth up and rushing her inside. She was in a state in panic, which caused her to completely blur out her surroundings. The only thing she was focused on was finding help.

She frantically looked around before spotting the front desk. There was what seemed to be a family in front of her, taking their time to chat with the attendant. Lea was getting impatient, trying to get their attention multiple times. But before she could say anything else, William had already made his way to the front desk.

"Sir, can you please wait a moment?"

"I mean, my daughter is in excruciating pain, and might die, so you pick." The attendant look behind the people and saw Lea cradling Elizabeth, who was visibly in pain.

The lady stood up and started to look for a doctor, or nurse at least, which didn't take very long. A nurse quickly spotted the three and rushed over.

"Follow me." She rushed, before hurrying them along into a room. She closed the door behind them and took Elizabeth and out her in the bed.

"What's wring with her?" The nurse inquired while quickly taking vital signs.

"She complained that her stomach hurt, and she was slow to respond."

"Is there anything she ate that might've caused it?" The nurse questioned again, feeling and pressing around her stomach.

They both shook their heads no.

"I'm going to take blood anyways, maybe to detect an allergy or something else. I'll get a doctor in here to see her shortly."

William glanced over at Lea, who liked like she was going to throw up. He gently wrapped an arm around her shoulder, bringing her closer.

"I'm scared, Will." She mumbled, leaning into him. He lightly squeezed her shoulder in reassurance.

The nurse cane back quicker than expected, and started to prep the needle for the IV. Lea glanced up and saw what was going on.

"Miss, she really scared of needles." The nurse nodded, but continued to do what she was doing. Before anyone knew it the needle was in, without any noise from Elizabeth.
