William turned the key to his car, starting the engine. He was going to buy a new one soon, because Lea needed a car, and because he wanted a new one.
He drove down the street, thinking about what Michael could've done this time. He knew Michael was a bully, and that was because they were one of the richest families that attended the school, if not, they were the richest.
He turned to get onto the busy highway, which was usually backed up, as it is now. He tapped his fingers against the steering wheel, deciding if he wanted to wait through traffic, or go through town.
At the next exit, he got off, deciding that it would take longer if he took the highway, but he thought that the school could wait anyway.
He drove through the city, which was people walking around on the sidewalks, but it wasn't crowded, like most cities. There were red lights, every now and then, which weren't and inconvenience. He turned down a side road, which led to a different part of town. It was more of a suburban type of place, which surrounded the city. He drove up a tall hill, houses littering the sides. The school was near the top, so they had a sort of private driveway.
As he neared the school, a phone call came in, which was from the school. He didn't answer, as he was pulling into the parking lot.
He exited the car, locked the door, then shoved his keys in the pocket of his jacket. He walked through the front doors, and stopped at the little window to talk to the secretary, before he entered the main building.
"Good Afternoon, what brings you here today?" The lady asked nicely.
"I got a call from the principal that my son was misbehaving."
"Okay, What is his name?"
"Michael Afton." He stated, showing the woman his ID, so he was allowed into the building. She smiled and unlocked the doors. He thanked her and walked in. Some of the adults monitoring the hallways greeted him, as he headed to the principal's office.
He walked in, to see Michael sitting in a chair. He looked up at his father, who gave him a disapproving look.
"Welcome, Mr.Afton." The principal walked out, and shook his hand, inviting the two into the office. The principal sat down behind his desk, William and Michael sat down in the chairs in front of the desk.
"What's the problem this time?"
"Your son seems to be bullying another kid. As you know, we do not tolerate bullying here. So naturally, that's why you're here." William looked over at his son, who had his head down. William sighed.
"You made me leave my job early, because he is bullying somebody? Isn't that their problem?"
"You have to understand, it was a girl, Mr.Afton. They is most definitely prohibited. We teach our student to respect each other, especially females, because we have equal rights."
"If you had equal rights, than they wouldn't be getting treated differently than the males, sir."
"Yes, but we want them to grow up with confidence. Anyway, teachers have been complaining about his attitude, towards them and his peers."
"Again, you pulled me out of my job, for something that can be easily fixed. Maybe if your heads weren't up your asses, then maybe you would be able to fix it."
"Now I see where he gets the attitude from." The principal stated, making sure that William heard him.
"You know what, I'm just going to pull my son from school for the rest of the day, and I'm going to go back to work, with my son. I'll find him a different school, who has better staff." William spat at the principal, who just started at him.
