Alicia's POV
Yup, Here he is yet again. And I ran right into him. That jerk, Jake Deveroux.
He was blocking the doorway to my class. Along with some cheerleader he was flirting with. I rolled my eyes and groaned.
He was leaning in close to her. With all of his body weight planted on one foot. He was practically straddling her. One of his arms was resting on the doorframe above the girl's shoulder. His other hand was twirling a lock of her long chocolate brown hair. He was whispering something into her ear. He had her pinned up against the doorframe. She seemed right at home within his proximity to her body.
Well, that was until I accidentally interrupted them by slamming into the back of him.
He slowly turned his head toward me. And for a second he still had a smile on his face. But that slowly melted into a scowl once his eyes fell upon me. His nose was still a bit puffy from our last encounter. He scoffed at me with disgust.
Hey, buddy I know you hate me but I hate you too. The feeling is mutual, asshole. I thought to myself as I watched his reaction to seeing me again.
The girl he was flirting with, clearly wasn't amused by my invasion of their space. Her smiling lips immediately turned into pouting ones. She unwillingly dropped her hands from his sweater as he pulled himself away from her to turn toward me.
She didn't like the distance that he had suddenly created between them. She was now giving me the stink eye. Blaming me for taking all of his attention away from her.
Don't worry sweetheart, I don't want him. He's all yours. I thought.
What the hell was he doing here? I mean, besides giving the whole classroom a crash course on PDA.
Really. What the hell was he doing here?I guess he was thinking the same thing about me because that's exactly what came out of his mouth.
"What the hell are you doing here princess? Are you stalking me now?" He groaned and shook his head in distaste from the sight of me.
He stood there facing me, somewhat in a defensive posture but keeping his distance. I guess I can't blame the guy. I did hit him three times already this morning.
"This is my class. If you haven't noticed, this is the freshman wing. What are you doing here? Aren't you a junior or something?" I stood glaring at him with my arms crossed over my chest.
I don't have time for any more of your nonsense asshole. Please move already. I began yelling at him mentally.
"Look, you two may continue this gross display of affection but could you please move aside for a moment so I can get through? This class is about to start." I said. Trying to sound civil.
"I'm visiting my girl here. Do you mind?" He said flippantly, flashing me his pearly white teeth.
He turned his head away from me as if he didn't hear a word I had just said. He whispered something in the girl's ear while caressing her cheek with his knuckles. She giggled and playfully smacked him on his chest with both of her hands.
I stood there silently waiting as I watched him drooling on her. He turned his head to look at me again. The cheerleader looked me up and down like she was sizing me up. Then he locked me into a staredown as if she was telepathically asking me why I was still standing there staring at them. But for some reason, she didn't scare me.
I blinked and looked away when I heard Jake's voice. My eyes darted from the cheerleaders' eyes to his lips.
"Oh princess, you are still standing here? I guess I can move since you asked nicely. But you and I have unfinished business." He pointed from me to himself while he flashed me what looked like a genuine smile.
