Alicia's POV
I don't know what I was thinking. Making out with Jake right then and there. He succeeded in crawled under my skin and planted himself in my heart. Maybe he's just good with winning over women. But I can be equally as good with men if need be. I decided I'll just wait and see how Jake truly acts. Eventually, I will learn more about him and I most likely won't approve. I never do. In the end, they're all the same I bet. I don't have any experience with guys but I hear that all the time.
As we walked in silence I couldn't help but think about what had just happened between me and him. I did almost put out. But it was he who stopped it. It's all so confusing. As we walked, Jake was humming the tune he played on the piano. He looked happy. And he occasionally glanced sideways at me to see if I was listening. Which I was. But made myself seem preoccupied with something on my phone.
He snatched my phone from my fingers and did some tapping on the screen. Then he handed it back to me. I looked on the screen to see that he had added his contact info under the name "♡Jerk Face ♡" with little hearts around it and had texted himself so he now also had my number.
"In case you decide you miss me and want to call... or text. Or whatever."
He let out a bashful type laugh. Then he pulled out his phone and tapped on it. Grinning at his screen. I could only guess he was saving my contact info. I was curious about what he wrote so I snatched his phone from him. He quickly enveloped me in his arms from behind and tried to cover my eyes so I couldn't see the screen. But it was too late. I read the words out loud.
"♡MY Princess♡"
Emphasizing the word "my" because it was written in capital letters."Damn, you saw." He said disappointedly.
"You know, I hate when you call me that Jake. But I guess this is okay."
"Really? Can I keep it?" He said excitedly.
"It's not a damn puppy Jake. Sheesh. You don't have to get so excited."
He squeezed me tightly in a bear hug.
"Stop that Jake. Let me go right now." I squealed.
"Yeah Jake, Let her go... Right... Now." Came a female voice dripping with distaste.
Jake's arms slid away from me and he stepped sort of in front of me.
"What do you want Nadine?" Jake asked coldly.
"What do I want?" She laughed. It sounded kind of intimidating. "I want to know why you're hugging her." Her eyes drifted from Jakes to mine.
Nadine... Nadine is the same girl from this morning. The one he was flirting with in front of my class. I thought she was his girlfriend. Shes kind of acting like a jealous girlfriend right now. Did he lie to me? Jake took my hand and squeezed it. Like he was trying to reassure me. He gave me an apologetic look that made my heart thud.
"Nadine." He said matter of factly. "I've known you since high school. You were never my type. I told you that. Why do you keep running around acting like we're together? Were not."
"So I'm not your type but she is? What's she have that I don't Jake?"
Jake answered her quickly and without giving it a second thought. He knew exactly what to say.
"She's got class for one thing. She's beautiful. And she stands up for herself instead of getting a man to do it for her. And lastly, she isn't a bully."
"I'm not a bully Jake! When have I ever bullied you before?" She spat out defending herself.
"You never bullied me but you bullied every girl I ever went on a date with back then. You didn't like anyone getting close to me even though you know I never liked you."
