Alicia's POV
At work, it was busy for a while but died down near closing time. I was wiping down the tables when my phone chirped. So I sat in the stool and pulled my phone from my apron.

Unknown:
Hey, its Idget. I hope you don't mind. Tyler gave me your number. I just wanted to give you mine. Thanks again for helping me today. See you tomorrow!Me:
It's fine he gave you my number. And you're welcome. Any time best friend. :)Unknown:
Umm... I get the feeling that Tyler likes me. Is that okay with you?Me:
Perfectly fine! I'm happy for you both. I mean. If you like him too.Unknown:
I think I do. I just wanted to make sure you're okay with it. You two seem close.Me:
We grew up together. He's like a brother. There's never been anything more than that. We're just close friends. I promise. I think he likes you too Idget.Unknown:
Okay. He did talk about you a lot. That's why I got the impression.Me:
I figured as much. That's why I scolded him. He's only known me so I kinda thought I'd be the only person he would talk about. If you have any questions just ask. I'm happy to help. I gotta get back to work.Unknown:
Okay, thanks, Alicia. Sorry for bothering you at work. Ttyl.Me:
It's fine. It's slow but I gotta close up and get home. See you tomorrow. Ttyl.-----------------------------------------------------------
I closed the chatbox of my phone and noticed I had another message. Then I remembered it chirped earlier at school after I left Jake standing at the bottom of the stairs.
I opened the message icon and saw the words ♡Jerk-Face♡ lit up.
I opened the message.-----------------------------------------------------------
♡Jerk Face ♡:
Miss you already.😀-----------------------------------------------------------
He had texted me within minutes of me leaving. He's so dumb. I stared at the message for a while, closed the chatbox and stuffed my phone back into my apron. I wanted to hurry out of here so I could go home and sleep. I was tired before I got to work and I wasn't feeling so well. I wondered how I could keep it up. My job and go to school at the same time. I almost had enough for an older model car but still needed enough to cover the taxes and tags. My parents said they would pay the insurance but I wanted to pay for at least the first six months on my own.
I finished wiping down the counter and tables. Hung my apron up, set the alarm and locked the front door behind me. My eyes were threatening to fall out of their sockets before my head hit the pillow. I was asleep within minutes. It felt like I was only asleep for a half-hour before my alarm blared and I was working on day two. The day of my audition. My head was aching and my stomach was kind of crampy. I decided it was from lack of sleep and probably just nerves. I mentally shoved the ill feelings to the side and began getting ready.
I threw on some clothes. I didn't bother brushing my hair. I just bundled it into a quick braid and piled it on top of my head. Then I decided against it. I needed to look smart for my audition. I quickly undressed and rampaged through my closet like a thief in their underwear. I found a grey sweater with ruffles that hung vertically from the neck to the bottom hem. A black knee-length skirt and grey long socks.
