Prologue
Daniel Mason
Have you ever seen someone so utterly beautiful that they take your breath away? Something about them just clicks inside you and you feel like you’re in a romance film and it is love at first sight?
No?
I have. And she was gorgeous and so, so utterly broken and lonely.
She carries the weight of the world on her shoulders but she doesn’t let it show, no, to the rest of the world she is a normal 17 year old girl. But inside, she’s torn apart.
Nobody else sees it, but I do. I don’t know why but I’ve always been good at reading people, and this girl needed saving.
I was a sucker for those sappy romance story’s where the prince swoops in and saves the damsel in distress.
But beware, this isn’t a fairy tale. Nope, this is worst.
Heartbreakingly worst.
And it was my fault.
