Small mention of death 💀
Patton's POV

It's been a week since Virgil died. I hadn't stopped crying. I clung to his still body and didn't eat or drink unless forced to by Logan and Roman.

I heard a soft knock on the door followed by someone whispering,
"Patton I'm coming in."
I didn't bother to look at who was there, I just clung to Virgil and continued crying.

I felt a hand on my shoulder,
"Hon, I'm really worried about you. Please at least drink something today."
I lightly shook my head.
"I won't force you, but I'm going to stay until you do,"
I heard him place something on the bedside table and sat on the floor.
"Not hungry," I mumbled.
"Thirsty?"
I shook my head though I was lying on both accounts.
"Sweetie please don't starve yourself, it's not healthy,"
"Don't care," I mumbled.
"I'm not one for threats but.......do you want me to bring Roman and Logan in here?"
I shook my head.
"Then please try to eat and drink, I know it's a hard time for you."

I sighed as I attempted to move myself but was too weak to move.
He gave me a sympathetic look before carefully picking me up and setting me on the edge of the bed.
"Don't eat it too fast, you're not used to having food in your system,"
I nodded and used a shaky hand to reach for the glass of water.
"Here," he smiled, passing it to me.
I didn't even bother saying 'thank you' or smiling at him, I just took the glass and slowly raised it to my mouth.

I let the cool liquid touch my lips and slide down my throat.
"Nice?" he asked with a smile.
I felt my stomach churn and I shook my head violently.
He reached behind himself and brought a bowl.
"I thought this might happen," he laughed lightly.
I clutched the bowl and vomited for a long time, Stifel rubbing circles into my back softly.

When I was finally done, I curled up and began crying all over again, my head throbbing.
"Crying makes your head worse," he whispered softly, "please try again."
I shook my head.
"Pretty please with sprinkles on top?'
I shook my head again.
"Pat I don't want to get the others," he whined.

I curled up further: I didn't care anymore.
"Patton please, I don't want you to go too,"
I stopped crying. Just for a moment, I looked up to him.
"Please Patton, I just don't want to loose you," he whispered, all jokes aside.

I turned my head to the glass of water and picked it up. I slowly brought it to my lips and sipped. It felt heavenly on my dry lips and my stomach lightly churned but I simply sipped slower.
"That's it, you're doing good!" he encouraged.
I put the glass down after a few minutes and my stomach softly growled.
"Hungry?" he chirped.
I nodded slowly.

"I made your favourite," he smiled, giving me a seafood salad.
I nodded in approval and thanks and took the bowl.
"Again, there's no rush, take your time," he smiled.
"How can you smile so much after what happened?" I asked, startled by the hoarseness of my voice.
"Well I'm just trying to cheer you up!" he answered, still smiling.
"I dont need 'cheering up', I need Virgil: and I need him alive,"

He lost the smile in his face and he took my hand in both of his.
"I know this must be tough for you, it's tough for us all, you should see Deceit, bu-"
"Don't mention him! Don't ever mention him! He's the reason this happened!"
"Patton, he is not the only reason this happened,"
I stared at him in angry disbelief.
"He's the only reason! What other reason-"
"The Light Sides!" he yelled.

I glared at him.
"Oh, so it's my fault?! It's Roman's fault?! It's Logan's fault?!"
"Pat I didn't mean it like that, I just-"
"No! You know what, Stifel, I'm sick of you just coming in and thinking we're going to forgive you! It was your kind that killed him!"
