It's the 2nd of January (big time skip, I know, but just go with it) and it's now 2017! Virgil has done something to upset Deceit.

Warning:
Violence 🤕

Virgil's POV

It's been about a month since the hug with Patton. Uh...I mean, the fight with Roman and things have only gotten worse. Logan is trying to weaken me with his harsh words and insults (as is Roman) and now Thomas is trying to make New Year Resolutions!

I knew that the failure would make Patton sad and Thomas lying to himself would only make the failure 10 times worse so I had to stop him.

"Give it up, resolutions are nothing more than empty promises," I said. I couldn't have Thomas lying to hims- Uh oh.
What the hell Virgil?!?!
I'm sorry Dec.
I can't believe you!
Lying makes me feel on edge! It makes me anxious...
That's exactly the thing you want to say to your boyfriend who is literally the embodiment of lies!
I-I'm sorry.
Ugh, whatever, just finish this stupid video, I'll talk to you when you get back.

They then continued to come up with little things to do which is actually a good idea. No Virgil! They're wrong! He can't do any of that stuff!

I entered my room to see Deceit sitting on my bed, his eyes glowing yellow again. I shuddered at the sight.
"Greetings Virgil," he said calmly.
"H-hi," I said.
"So I just watched the video. You really didn't want Thomas to lie, did you?" he asked.
"W-well," I felt my chest tighten and my palms were beginning to sweat.
"Do you realise you are RUINING OUR PLANS?!??" he yelled.
"I-I'm sorry! I just-" I cut myself off. I was going to say I was just stopping Patton from becoming sad when it comes to 2018 and he hadn't achieved his goals.
"YOU WERE JUST WHAT?!?" he boomed.
"I-I didn't want to be on edge!" I spluttered out.
The glow in his eyes was replaced by tears as he said,
"I'm supposed to be the one you can trust, the one you can feel safe around, and all I do is make you feel on edge."
"Dec," I said stepping towards him.
"Don't come too close, I might hurt you," he said in a mocking voice.
"Look, Dec I'm sorry ok? I'm just having my opinion, and in my opinion, lying puts me on edge and is...Wrong." What did I just say?!??
"You know what? You're really starring to sound like Patton," he said his name like it was poison, spitting it out as it rolled of his tongue, "you know how much I hate him."
I was going to say hate is a strong word but I stopped myself.
"You need to be taught a lesson," he said.

His eyes turned yellow as he rose up from the ground and he formed an evil grin. It was like a moment in a movie when you're yelling at a character to run but they just stay in the face of danger. I was screaming on the inside but wouldn't move because,
A: I was frozen with terror
AND
B: I felt like I deserved whatever was coming.
