US Capital
Jack had just been sworn in; he was now giving his inaugural address. Jackie was sitting watching him; she couldn’t take her eyes of him.
Once he’d finished he headed back into the building out of the cold. Jackie was behind him but she desperately wanted to see him. Much to her surprise Jack was standing waiting for her. They hugged tightly before kissing passionately.

“Just look at the crowds Jack.” Jackie said as she looked out of the window.
“I know there huge.” Jack said turning to look at his wife. They smiled at each other. Jackie gently fixed her purple coat and hat before taking her husband’s hand. “I’m so proud of you bunny.”
“Thank you kid.”
He suddenly moved towards her and kissed her lips. She pulled back and looked into his eyes. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Jack replied.
When they got to the White House they headed up to the residence. Jack was shivering. “I’m going to go for a bath.”
“Ok I’m going to change into my evening gown that you love so much.”
Jack grinned.
Jackie carefully slipped into her floor-length black gown with lacy sleeves. When Jack returned he was wearing his three piece suit. “Wow…..you look beautiful.” Jack said stopping to admire his wife.
Jackie blushed. “Thank you.”
He gently embraced her. “Can you sit down a minute?”
“Sure bunny.” Jackie replied as she sat down on the edge of her bed. Jack joined her. “I want to thank you for everything.”
“What do you mean?” Jackie asked puzzled.
“Helping me get re-elected and for safely delivering Molly.”
Jackie smiled. “Oh Jack….you don’t need to thank me, we owe it all to faith. If I hadn’t had a miscarriage I would have lost you and I wouldn’t have had Molly.”
“I suppose we do…I’m just glad we have each other.”
“I’m glad we’ve got each other too.” Jackie replied as she leaned into him. They kissed passionately accepting each other’s tongues happily.
1am
Jack and Jackie were at the final ball of the evening. They were about to leave when the song I married an angel came on. Jackie turned to look at Jack who was equally stunned. He stood up and extended his hand to Jackie. “Would you care to dance?”
“I’d love to…..Mr President.”
Jack and Jackie walked to the floor and started to dance, they never took their eyes of each other. They didn’t even notice when others came and joined them, it could just have been them in the entire room.
When the song ended they headed for their car. The privacy screen was already up. Jack placed his hand in Jackie’s and held hers tightly. “To the next four years Jack.”
He turned and smiled. “To the next four years.”
Jackie brushed her lips against his and kissed him passionately. She knew they wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for the events of the winter of 1963.
