Chapter 39

"Push her into the van!" Richard yelled as he past us and went into the black van parked outside. I heard the engine running while Ruth pushed me into the sliding door. "I said get her in not kill the babies! I don't want to go back to that hell!"

"Good because if it was for him, you'll be dead in a minute," Ruth says as she rushed me onto the car. I groaned as I felt contact with the floor, destroying my jeans. Ruth mocked as she sat in from of me and nodded to Richard. Her knees bent all the way to her head as she pressed her cheek onto her knee, she looked nervous when she picked on the hem of her tank top.

I copied her actions, letting my head fall onto my knee as the sobs came. "Are they dead?" I sobbed letting my tears fall onto my sweater. Ruth sat up to look at me straight in the eyes. "Did you kill them?"

I was getting inpatient.

"I said did you kill Harry, Josh, and Ansel!" I yelled making Ruth fall back.

"I didn't okay! Harry is unconscious because he got a bloody beating from Richard, Josh just got shot in the arm probably losing a lot of blood, and Ansel just got skimmed by a bullet. They are going to be fine..." she wondered off into the back door window. I saw the gates of my house, tears went down my cheek as I swallowed hard. 

"What if they aren't? I mean if Theo or anyone doesn't get there fast enough and they are in worse conditions? Why didn't you guys just tie them up or something?" 

"Just shut up will ya?" Richard yelled from the front. "If it wasn't for your friends for launching at me, they will still be being my ass. Especially the curly headed one...Harry I guess? Right that lad from One Direction," he chuckled a bit as he went on, "Yea that lad took a good beating out of me"

He took a sharp turn which made me shake a little. I slowed down my tears.

Ruth stumbled a bit, "I don't want to hurt anyone...Thinking about it, why did I kidnap you anyway?" 

"Because you wanted that Theo guy or whatever and she was getting away!" Richard shouted. Ruth sunk down in her position.

"And you hired the man that haunts me for six years to kidnap me? I would've been okay with you hiring a hit-man or something but the man that I've put behind bars?" I whispered screamed at her. "What were you thinking?" I cried out. 

"Just shut up, okay?" she hushed. "I need Theo back!" I scoffed.

"Just as Ansel told you, he doesn't love you!" 

"Oh shut up will ya?" she fought back.

"No, Ruth, Theo doesn't love you anymore. Just find someone else, you will," I hid behind my arm and wiped my face to rid the tears.

"He does! He is the one! I know for a matter of fact he loves me! He just wants me back and is using you to get me jealous!" 

"No he isn't. Ansel was right..." 

"Right about what?" 

"About you being delusional," I mumbled.

She shot me a look, 'What did you say?" 

"Nothing..." 

"Tell me what you said!"

"I said nothing!"

She yanked my blond hair, "Tell me what you said!"

"Fine I said that you were delusional! Okay?" I waved my arms to get rid of her hands from my hair.

"You bitch!" she screamed. Her eyes were angry about what I said. I hugged my knees and sunk downwards to hide myself. 

She came closer and stood on her knees. We were hitting bumps and bumps so it was really hard to steady. "You bitch...you asked to be with your friend Ansel so here you go! I'm giving you the painful ride of hell, like what you gave me when you hooked up with Theo!" she rammed my head against the van's side.

I felt the blood gush out from my head and down to my temple. 

'Where Theo used to always kiss me' I thought and sobbed my way through. I heard a couple unclear mumbles exchanged from both of them. 

Theo. Theo. Theo. Theo.

I heard a couple lights from cars in my glazed eyes. I braced myself in looking out the window in the back of the van.

Everything felt numb. Everything was numb.

I swallowed hard and pushed my hand against the window. It felt slick from the tears. 

"H-help m-me p-pl-ease," I mumbled as I black out against the van's door.
