"You're fucking funny!" Kim laughed as she slammed her bottle on the counter.

"I'm a natural born comedian, what can I say?" Sowon flipped her hair along with a sassy expression.

"I really need to find someone to date. I get so lonely without you, ya know?" She looked up at Sowon and smiled.

"I'm the life of the party, everyone gets lonely without me" Sowon wasn't usually one with a big ego but when she was drunk it was a total different story.

"I just really need some company" Kim absentmindedly gripped onto Sowons thigh.

Sowon paused for a moment and swallowed the lump in her throat before awkwardly responding. "I understand. We all go through times where we feel alone no matter how many people we are with. We just need more company for those times"

"I think I just need you" Kim slowly removed her hand and looked away from Sowon.

"Well there are other people in your life that you love. I don't think it's healthy to just stick with one person" Sowon kept her eyes on her friend sitting next to her. She was waiting for Kim to turn around and look at her but that didn't seem like it was going to happen any time soon.

"I'm not talking about friends and family. Sowon I've known you for almost a year now" Kim finally turned around again to look Sowon in the eyes. She even took the opportunity to grab a hold of Sowons hand.

"I'm sorry but I don't know what you're implying" Sowon tried to keep her hand from shaking but it wouldn't stop. Kim didn't mind her being nervous, it was quite amusing to her to see Sowon so flustered.

"I don't want to be friends anymore"

"Why? I thought we were best friends" Sowon panicked. She couldn't risk losing a friend, not now. She needed her more than ever because she felt so alone in this world lately.

"That's my point, Sowon. I want to be more than that. I don't know your sexuality but I couldn't help fall for such a woman like you. It was impossible for me" Kim looked down in a shameful manner. The people around were disgusted of people like her—lesbians—and she couldn't help but hate herself too because of them.

"I'm interested in...men" Sowon lied. Now was the right time she could've came clean about her identity, but she didn't want to. Was she ashamed? It could've just been because she was feeling nervous.

"I thought so..." Kim quickly looked away again and faced the bartender who was serving drinks.

"We can still be friends" Sowon tried to break the silence between them.

"Let's just not see each other for awhile okay? Not until I am able to get over you. I just can't do this right now" She got up and grabbed her purse off the counter.

"Kim-"

"I'm keeping both the keys to the apartment. Don't come back. I know you have somewhere else to go" Kim grabbed the key out of Sowons pocket and left without another word. Sowon tried calling her name but she wouldn't look back.

"Why do you seem so down?" Yerin asked the second Sowon walked inside.

"I'm not. I'm perfectly fine, why?" Sowon glared at Yerin as she took her shoes off and walked into the kitchen.

"Because I can see tears welling up in your eyes and you're frowning and just look really sad, so what's wrong?" Yerin watched as Sowon grabbed a glass from the cabinet and filled it up with apple juice.
