Birthday

The two hustled up stairs. Sowon used the guest bathroom while Jiwon used Eunha and Eunwoo's bathroom. Obviously Eunha was going to let them borrow her clothes.

"What happened? Why aren't you guys looking like burnt toast?" Eunha questioned.

"They were the only two inside. When we arrived there the house was already on fire so Yuju had to go get them" Umji said with a proud look. She was certainly proud of Yuju.

"Do you know what happened?"

"No. I'm sure it was probably one of Kyung's dumb plan to kill us" Yerin whispered, afraid that Eunwoo might hear them over the boiling water.

"Well what were the two doing inside the house?" Eunha became curious.

"I don't know. They were both in Sowons room laying on the floor" Yuju shrugged.

"You didn't tell me she was with my sister" Umji got defensive. She thought maybe Sowon was trying to get together with her little sister.

"They weren't doing anything. It just looked like Sowon was packing a few things" Yuju had a scared look. She thought maybe Umji was mad at her now.

"Ok then" Umji calmed down.

"I'll postpone our honeymoon to next month so I can help you guys" Eunwoo didn't get a say in Eunha's decision, but he was fine with it.

"Thank you so much, Eunha" they all bowed to Eunha for her kindness.

"They're probably done now so I'm gonna go get them some clothes" Eunha said with red cheeks. She felt embarrassed when so many people bowed to her. It felt like they were praising her as a god and she was no god. She has made many mistakes that she cannot take back.

"Here are some clothes" Eunha set a pair of her clothes on the counter while Jiwon was finishing her hair.

"Sowon, can I come in?" Eunha knocked on the door. There was no response and Eunha could still hear the shower running so she opened the door and invited herself in.

"I figured you won't be able to fit in my clothes since you're much taller than I am so I got you a pair of Eunwoo's clothes, I hope that's okay" Eunha set the clothes on the counter and was about to leave.

"It's fine, thanks" Sowon shortly replied. Eunha wasn't expecting Sowon to be nice towards her.

"No problem" Eunha quickly shut the door and went back down stairs.

"So what's that girl's name? The tall one? I've never met her before. Is she the other friend?" Eunwoo asked.

"Yeah she's the vegan" Yuju smirked.

"Oh. What's her name?"

"Her name is Sowon" Yerin glared at him. She didn't like Eunwoo very much. It was probably just because Sowon is her friend and she felt obligated to hate him.

"She's very tall. I bet she could be a model" he complimented her while he sat down with his bowl of noodles.

"Yeah she's very hot, I don't know how someone couldn't love her" Yerin said with an angry look in her eyes.

"Is something wrong?" Eunha asked.

"She seems very calm, I'd probably hangout with her" he smiled. He tried to ignore the way Yerin was acting towards him.

"Oh I don't know you tell me Eunha" Yerin said sarcastically.

"What's your problem?"

"Why didn't you tell him about Sowon? That's utter bullshit. I'm sure that if he knew about her then he wouldn't be married to you" Yerin tried not to get too deep into the topic, she still had to refrain from telling him the truth.

"Yerin please don't do this right now, especially since it's my birthday" Eunha had a pleading look in her eyes.

"Fine but me and you are gonna have a serious discussion tomorrow, understood?" Yerin had a very serious look. There was no way Eunha would be able to escape from the conversation tomorrow.

"Thanks" Eunha felt humiliated in front of Eunwoo. She was just glad he didn't ask questions.

Get home safe, ok? And make sure to call me when you arrive back at your place" Umji said while she hugged her little sister.

"Will do. I'll see you later" she smiled at Umji before walking towards the cab that would be taking her home.

"I only have two guest rooms so someone will have to sleep on the couch" Eunha felt guilty. She knew how horrible it was to sleep on the couch. She had experienced it many times when she was dating Sowon. Whenever Sowon was angry with her she'd have to sleep on the couch, it wasn't fun at all.

"I'll sleep on the couch. Yerin and Eunbi you two can share a room and then Umji and Yuju can have the other room, it'll work out just fine" Sowon offered to sleep on the couch. She was expecting Yerin to fight back but this time she didn't.

"Ok then I'll show you guys the rooms" the four girls followed behind Eunha.

Sowon went back to the living and found Eunwo sitting on the floor playing video games on the tv. Sowon was about to lay down but he suddenly asked her a question.

"Would you like to join me? I could really use another teammate" He stared up at Sowon with a smile. He had his hand reached out towards her with a controller in his palm.

"Sure. I'll warn you though, I haven't played any video games in a long time" Sowon took the controller and sat on the floor next to him.

"So how do you and Eunha know each other?" Eunwoo asked.

"We've been friends since we were kids" Sowon said, focusing on the screen in front of them.

"Interesting"

"You're very lucky to have her. I remember in the sixth grade she use to follow me everywhere, acting like I was her bodyguard because I'm so tall" Sowon smiled as she recalled her earliest memories of Eunha.

"That's cute. She doesn't tell me much about her when she was a child. Perhaps you could tell me more?" He had a mischievous smile.

"There was one time, I think it was ninth grade, her chicken wasn't fully cooked in her soup so she refused to eat chicken for the rest of the year. I don't blame her though, it was gross" Sowon and Eunwoo both laughed. They seemed to be getting along just fine.

"I'm not sure how we're going to live together since we both don't know how to cook. Do you know how to cook?" He glanced over at Sowon.

"I'm actually going to college right now to be a chef. It's gonna be difficult the next few days. My classes start at 6:00am but it takes me three hours to drive there meaning I'll have to wake up at 2:30am to give myself some time to get ready. It's getting late so I should actually go to bed" Sowon yawned. She looked at the clock and couldn't believe her eyes. It was already 11:00pm. She wasn't going to get very much sleep.

"That's very cool. Thanks for telling me those stories about Eunha" he smiled at her as he put the controllers back.

"Can you tell Eunha I said happy birthday? I never got the chance to" Sowon weakly smiled at him.

"Of course" He then proceeded to walk towards the stairs.

Eunha, who was standing there listening to their conversation the whole time, quietly ran up the stairs before Eunwoo could see her. It seemed like Sowon was beginning to accept that Eunha was never going to be hers. And that was the best gift Eunha could wish for, she didn't want Sowon to be angry or sad anymore.
