A massive crowd of people were dancing and singing and just enjoying the lovely night. The mixture of slow songs and upbeat songs was perfect. As the night went on there was more upbeat songs playing.
"Sowon? Is that you" Eunha's parents greeted the young lady standing alone by herself in a dark corner.
"Oh hi mr. and mrs. Jung" Sowon slightly bowed and shook their hands.
"It's been awhile since we last saw you. Why weren't you up there behind Eunha? I thought you guys were best friends" the mother questioned.
"Oh we just...aren't as close as we use to be" Sowon shrugged.
Eunha was talking to a few of Eunwoo's friends when she saw her parents talking to Sowon. She wanted to know what they were talking about but she didn't want to go over there and interrupt them, it would be rude and awkward.
"Why is that? You two use to be so close" her father felt bad. Sowon looked sad and it broke his heart knowing how close they use to be.
"I'm not sure. I guess we just went our separate ways. I went to college and I left to a different country for a month and I guess she just found a replacement, Eunwoo" Sowon couldn't control the bitter expression she had.
"Really? Well at least you came. I know it probably means a lot to her. I'm sure you were busy too and decided to come support her marriage" the two kindly smiled at her. They didn't know about Sowon and Eunha's relationship at all.
"It's not a problem, really. Why don't you guys go have some fun. I'll just be over here. I'm actually probably going to leave soon" Sowon weakly returned the smile.
"Alright well you get home safe. It was good to see you again Sowon" the mother patted her back and walked away with her husband.
Sowon saw a nearby chair and took a couple steps to it so she could sit down and relax while watching everybody have fun. She saw Yuju and Eunbi trying to see who could fit the most cake in their mouth while Umji and Yerin watched in utter shock.
Part of Eunha wanted to go over there and talk to her but part of her was worried that they might get in a fight. She decided it was best to stay away and act like she didn't notice her.
"Guys look it's Sowon!" Yuju pointed over in Sowons direction.
"Haven't seen you in awhile. How have you been?" Yerin asked as she lightly pushed sowons shoulder.
"I'm good. How are you guys?" She returned the question. She tried to seem nice but it was difficult.
"We're all doing very good" Umji replied. "What have you been up to lately?" She asked.
"Well I went back to college to study cooking. The other students think I'd make an amazing chef" Sowon smiled. She was actually quite proud of herself which didn't happen often.
"Have you talked to Eunha yet?"
"No, why would I?" Sowon furrowed her eyebrows.
"So she didn't tell you the news?" Umji had a concerned look. She didn't know if now was the right time or place to tell her.
"What news? Guys what's going on?" Sowon shifted in her seat, a bit worried and anxious.
"I don't know if I should tell you. I don't have the right. But I guess she's not going to be telling you any time soon since you guys aren't talking to each other..." Umji paused before continuing. "Eunha is pregnant. She's actually already a few months pregnant" Umji broke the exciting news.
"That's uh...great" Sowon smiled, trying to hide the pain.
"So you're cool with it?" Eunbi widened her eyes. She was surprised that Sowon didn't yell.
"Of course I am. I think I'm gonna go now" Sowon quickly got up from her seat. She seemed in a rush, she wouldn't even let her friends say goodbye to her. They didn't know the next time they'd ever see her again, or if they ever would.
"Sowon wait-" Yerin tried to stop her.
"No really guys it's fine, I have stuff to do" Sowon rushed out of the wedding. Eunha watched Sowon speed-walk with tears falling from her eyes.
"I'll be right back" Eunha apologized to Eunwoo's friends before chasing after Sowon.
When she got to the parking lot Sowon was already in side her car. She wasn't starting the cars engine so Eunha stood there and watched from a distance.
Sowon wasn't yelling and hitting the stirring wheel like she usually would. She just sat there in her car crying with her head down in shameful-like way. She looked angry and so heartbroken, and she was. She was greatly devastated.
"Why are you crying?" Sowon asked herself.
"This is nothing to cry over. You're gonna be fine" she tried to console herself, but it didn't seem to help her in the slightest bit.
"I can't do this" Sowon broke down in more tears. She refrained from pulling her hair and smashing her windows. She didn't want to have to pay to have them fixed again.
Sowon couldn't hold back, but she didn't want to do anything to ruin the wedding. So instead she turned her car on and turned the volume up extremely high. Once a loud song was playing she began screaming and crying, trying to let all her emotions out at once. She still didn't know Eunha was watching her having a break down.
Suddenly Sowon stopped and began to breathe heavily. She sat there for a minute, trying to catch her breath. She wasn't sure what to do. She wanted to talk to Eunha but she didn't want to fight. She decided to be mature and just leave it be. She turned the music down, wiped her tears, and drove away as fast as she could, trying to leave all her anger and resentment towards Eunha behind.
