Human Shield

"What a fucking bitch" Eunha mumbled as she got in the back of the car.

"So what happened?" Everyone turned around and looked at her. She felt uncomfortable knowing that all their eyes were focused on her.

"She said I can't work for her until I lose my baby weight, and I haven't even had my baby yet" Eunha rolled her eyes.

"Well you're not due for another month and it'll take you at least another one or two months to lose the baby fat so that's only three months in total. That's too long. One of us should try" Yerin suggested. She had no time to waste.

"I will do it" Eunbi offered.

"No I will. I'm better than all of you, she'll definitely let me in" the others felt insulted by Yerin's words. They didn't like that she always thought she was better than everyone else.

"No Yerin you can't. Do you not understand how popular or recognized you are in this business? You're not just one of the most known females in this business, you're one of the most known people in this business out of everyone. Mostly everyone knows who you are which means they know Eunbi so neither of you can do it" If Umji didn't tell them this then they would've walked right into a death trap. No one trusted the Jung family, but more importantly, no one trusted the Hwang family. And since the two families were connected no one wanted to get involved with them.

"I will then" Yuju raised her hand. She enjoyed being the hero every once in awhile, but for the most part she let everyone else be the hero so they could bathe in the glory.

"Yuju you will mess this whole thing up" Umji blurted out. She didn't mean it.

"How would I mess this up?" Yuju was offended.

"Because you're stupid!" Umji facepalmed. She couldn't believe she said it to her face but she felt there was no way around it.

"Why didn't you tell me that before we started dating? No one wants to date a dumb girl" Yuju glared at Umji before getting out of the car. She didn't like being around the others lately. She felt that they were always downgrading her and she really wasn't that dumb but they thought she was. It hurt her feelings, it really did.

"No! Don't let her get in there!" Yerin and Umji both jumped out of the car and chased after her. She was already by the front door by the time they got to her, unfortunately.

"A Jung?" A man standing next to the door immediately pulled out his gun.

"Umji wait!" Yerin grabbed Umji's sleeve and pulled her body in front of her own. Yerin didn't even realize what she was doing. She didn't know why she was doing it. She always wanted to protect them but for some reason she used Umji as a human shield.

"Umji! No!" Eunha tried to get out of the car but Eunbi grabbed her arm.

"You can't! You can barely run because of the baby and what if you get shot? I'll go" Eunbi nodded at Eunha with a reassuring smile.

"No you'll only make it worse. They know who is part of the Hwang family and if they see a Jung and Hwang together then they're so gonna kill us all!" Eunha tried to keep the doors closed.

"Eunha! Umji is dying out there and Yerin and Yuju have no where to take cover! I'm going" Eunbi used all her force to slide the door open. After she got out she quickly closed it and ran to Yerin's aid.

Getting there was a bit difficult since so many innocent people were running her direction to get away or get to cover. The echoing screams of citizens and Umji wasn't helping at all either. It made Eunbi more stressed.

Eunbi finally got through all the people and saw Umji laying in Yerin's hands. Yerin was shaking back and forth, ashamed of what she had just caused. She couldn't understand why she did it. It was her first instinct to grab Umji to save herself.

"Yerin listen to me" Eunbi knelt down in front of her. "You can't let this small moment get to you. You know how strong and capable you are. It was an accident, that's all. Umji will be okay but you can't stay like this. Yuju is inside there all alone. You need to snap back to reality!" Eunbi slapped Yerin across the face since it didn't seem like she was paying attention. "If you don't let her go...Yuju will die. I promise Umji will be okay. Eunha will get her back to the house but right now you're not helping. You're spaced off and letting Umji bleed out in your arms so I'm gonna tell you one last time. Yuju and Umji are going to die..." Eunbi grabbed Yerin's shoulder and shook her whole entire body. Yerin blinked and snapped right back to reality where Eunbi was calling her to.

"Get Umji out of here" Yerin stood to her feet without even glancing at Umji or Eunbi. She handed Umji's body to Eunbi and rushed inside the building.

"Eunha you need to get out of here now. Don't go home, ok? Drive about a mile away where no one will find you and hide in the car with Umji. Sowon has a supply box in the trunk full of stitches and weapons. I need you to get the bullet out of her abdomen and stitch the wound. It's not that hard, understood? Eunha...good luck" Eunbi gave a weak smile after placing Umji in the car and running off again.

"Wait the keys! I don't have the keys!" Eunha yelled out but it was too late. Eunbi was already gone.

"Shoot!" Eunha closed the door and locked every single door on the car.
