March, 1973.
"Hello dears!" Freddie shouted as he unlocked the front door. "Look who's back." You said, crossing your arms.
Freddie moved out a few months after he moved in with you. "It's so good to see you!" He said, hugging you tightly. "You too." You smiled, which was true. The boys have been seeing him at gigs and practice, but you barely got the chance to talk. "I have news!" He said, pulling away, leading you to the kitchen. "Roger! Come down!" You shouted and soon heard footsteps coming into the kitchen. "Did Mary kick you out already?" Roger smirked. "No. Now listen. We are finally going to do an album. We've been playing for 3 years, I think we're ready! Plus we've been all writing songs like crazy." Freddie said. "You can't argue, I already sold the van." He mumbled. "Seriously?" Roger said, sighing disappointedly. "Sure, what the hell." Brian said.
You looked at Roger. "Fine, let's do it." Roger growled. Freddie clapped his hands in the air. "Get dressed!" Freddie said, chasing the boys out of the kitchen. "You too, love." Freddie said, looking at you. You rolled your eyes and walked up stairs.
You entered your room. "You think this is a good idea?" Roger said, putting on a striped T-shirt. "Yeah, I mean.. you've got experience. You'll be fine. Freddie is right, we have been writing a lot of songs!" You smiled, looking through your closet. Roger shrugged.
You both walked down stairs and everyone was outside. "There's a recording studio near by." Freddie said as he started to walk. All of you followed him.
Soon enough you found the place. Freddie ran straight in, while you and Roger where dreading to go in. You cought up with Freddie. "Here you go." Freddie said, putting the money in the person's hands.
All of you walked into the studio, you and Roger immidiately sat down on the couch. "You both think the same and it's quite scary." Brian said. You laughed and looked over to Roger, who was pulling out a cigarette. "Can I smoke?" Roger asked. "Yeah, of course." The guy said, Roger right away lit the cigarette and put it in his mouth, taking a drag from it. Freddie stepped into the booth.
A young lady passed by and Roger's eyes lit up. "Hold my cigarette." He said, giving it to you, walking outside and flirting with the girl. You held the cigarette between your index finger and middle finger.
Roger over the 3 years got more and more annoying.
You put out the cigarette, leaving it in the ashtray. Roger walked in the girl. She sat down next to you. "Do you have another one?" She asked, getting the impression that you smoke. "Sorry, that was my last one." You smiled fakely. "That's alright, I think I have one." Roger said, pulling out another 2 and giving the girl one. "Want one?" Roger asked, putting to pack up to you. "No thanks, trying to quit. I learned that my lungs would prefer to be healthy." You said, Brian and John laughed. "Mhm, right." He said, lighting his up.
Freddie walked out of the booth. "I sound like complete arse." Freddie said, walking back in to the booth and recorded his part again. He listened to it again. "That's better." He said.
Soon it was John's turn, then Brian's and lastly Roger.
All of you stood over the guy, except Roger who was still on the couch with the girl laying her head on his shoulder.
You listened to the end result, which was perfect. "It's amazing!" You said. "Roger, I never knew you could do that." You said, as My fairy King was on and Roger's falsetto could be clearly heard. "We did it." Freddie laughed. Roger ran up to all of you and hugged. He looked at you and smiled.
The boys started to walk outside, you stayed behind, getting your purse back together. You heard the door open. "Who were they?" A man said, in a black suit. "Some students, made alright music." The guy who helped you record said. The man in the suit looked at you. Roger ran into the studio. "You coming?" He said. You smiled and nooded, grabbing the purse and walking out, being followed by Roger. "Who's she? Is she with them?" Suit man said. "She didn't record any part." The other one said.
You noticed the girl from earlier standing with the boys. "Really? Taking her home?" You whispered in Roger's ear. He smiled and nodded.
You walked home. "That was quite fun.." Roger said. "I told you." Freddie smiled.
You made it home, Freddie looked into the fridge. "You have no alcohol!" He shouted. "For obvious reasons." You said. "Then we'll have a toast with tea. Quickly!" Freddie said, pulling out a kettle, putting water on it and turning on the stove.
When tea was served, everyone raised their cups. "To recording a song!" Freddie shouted.
All of you cheered as you clinked the cups together and taking a sip. "And great thanks to Y/n for having a patience with us and supporting us." Brian said. You smiled ear to ear. "Anytime, friends will be friends." You said. "That has a nice ring to it." Freddie said.
You laughed. "What's your name by the way?" You said, looking over to the girl who was on Roger's lap. "Karen." She smiled. "Alright." You smiled, raising your cup in the air and so did she.
Roger whispered something in Karen's ear, she giggled and nodded. "We'll be back." Roger said, walking out of the kitchen, holding Karen's hand. "Oh boy.." You said, thinking about all the mess they could make in there. "Good luck with that." Freddie said and sighed. "I should get going before I start hearing screams." Freddie said, walking into the hallway and grabbing his coat. You followed him. "Wow, thanks for leaving us." You said, smiling. "We need to catch up soon." Freddie said, fixing his coat. "That might be hard, I think we're all going to be busy with albums and stuff. This album will be amazing." You smiled, hugging Freddie. "We'll find time, I'm sure." He said, pulling away.
You heard a laugh from your room. "Alright, bye." Freddie said, walking out.
You walked into the kitchen, John and Brian covering their ears. "What?" You said. "Give it time.." Brian said.
You started to hear laughs and screams. You gagged. You got your coat and shoes and walked outside, to the backyard. "I think you should come outside as well." You said, closing the sliding door. You put your hands in your pocket and walked to the shed.
You walked in and sat down behind the drums. "We took your advice, thank you for saving our lives." Brian said. "Your welcome." You laughed.
They took their bass. "Wanna try to play?" John said, giving you Roger's drum sticks. You took them from him. "Uh, ..sure?" You said, quietly.
You hit each drum once to see what tone they had. You tried a few simple beats. You stuck with one and kept looping it. Brian started to play and soon John did.
The tune was simple. You had so much fun, even just looping a beat.
You stopped playing, you wiped your forehead with a sweatband on your wrist that Brian gave you. "That was fucking amazing." You said, stretching your sore arms. "Now you understand why we do this." Brian smiled, putting his bass down. "Though, don't know how Roger can do this everyday." You said, getting up and massaging you're forearms. "Well, he's been doing it since he could." Brian said.
You walked into the house. "I'll go check." You said, walking up the stairs. "If you don't come back in 5 minutes, we'll call the police." Brian said. You laughed. "Alright." You said. You walked to your room door. You knocked, but nothing. You opened the door and prepared your eyes. Karen was sleeping and so was Roger. "God.." You whispered, looking around the room. Clothes, pillows and things knocked over on the floor.
You closed the door and walked back down.
...idk anymore
