"Diana, can we talk?" I asked, walking into the kitchen as she made breakfast.

"Sure!" She said in a cheery voice as she set down a pile of pancakes on a plate. I sat down opposite her and looked into her eyes. They were so bright and happy and although I knew I was making the right decision it broke my heart anyway knowing that I had to do it.

"I-I don't think we should live here anymore." I said, looking into her eyes and focusing on what I was saying. She looked confused as she replied.

"Um...okay, where do you want to live then?"

"Well, I want to live here. I just don't think we should." She began to look more and more confused and upset by the second and inside I could feel my heart breaking.

"Tom, what do you mean?" She said in a serious voice no longer smiling.

"To be honest I'm not quite sure. But I-I just feel like this isn't working anymore." I saw her eyes filling with tears.

"What do you mean? Why isn't it working? Don't you love me anymore...?" She almost whispered as she looked down and a tear dropped onto the table.

"I do love you Diana I just -" I started before swallowing. I was losing it. I couldn't lose my head because that would make this harder than it already was.

"Just what Tom? You're just tired of me? Or you just don't love me as much as you used to..." She whispered before slipping away and leaving the house. What hurt most was that it was true. I didn't love her as much as I used to.
