Kyle, Kenny, and Stan all met up at Stan's car once practice was over and Kyle could feel himself on the verge of fuming. Kyle climbed into the backseat without a word as Kenny happily took shotgun. Stan eyed Kyle a little concernedly, but decided to just shrug it off for now.

Kenny chatted the whole way home while Kyle remained fairly mute the whole time. Once they got back to Kyle's house, Kenny rushed in leaving Kyle and Stan to follow after.

"Uh dude?" Stan starts, his bag over his shoulder, "Is something wrong?"

"No. Everything fine. Everything's just great, Stan!" Kyle seethed and then walked away angrily.

Stan felt confused, but tried to hold back his worry until they were alone.

The three of them ended up watching Saw in the living room. Stan sat on the couch with Kenny near him, taking up the most room, and Kyle sat fairly curled up on the floor closer to Kenny than to Stan. Kyle wasn't interested in rewatching Saw, either.

Half way through the movie, Kenny got bored of watching and decided that talking would be more entertaining. At first, Kyle didn't mind much, still refusing to participate though, and then Kenny brought up Wendy.

"Yeah, yeah," Stan said shaking his head, "I'm not exactly planning on going to the winter formal." Stan peered at Kyle nervously as he said this and Kenny laughed.

"Dude, that's the perfect chance to ask Wendy out!" Kyle tensed up and Stan felt instant dread.

"Noo," Stan said, laughing awkwardly and rubbing the back of his neck, "I don't think I could-"

"You should," Kyle said icily. "I'm sure she would love it. As long as you let her choose the corsage color."

Kyle would admit it: he was being petty. He was not ashamed, and he was hurt. He didn't mind that Stan did see them as dating-dating, but it sucked that there were other people out there that he did (or would) consider dating- but not Kyle.

So, Kyle was jealous and he was petty. He can't help it sometimes.

"Uh you think I should?" Stan asked nervously. Kyle did say he had a plan for this... maybe this was it?

Kenny nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah! Of course. See, even Kyle agrees. This is going to be good."
