I stand between two paths
At a fork in the road
Stuck at a choice
Which to take?
There’s no way to tell
Identical in every description
I consider turning back
Down the path previously taken
Undivided
Straight forward
Easy
But I must go forward
I cannot reverse all the work I’ve put forth this far
There’s no turning back
Blindly, I chose a path
Unsure
But I have to
I need to go on
I look forward as I walk
The path seems to grow before my eyes
It winds like a snake
Over hills
Through valleys
Beyond mountains
Growing thin in the horizon
I look on in misery
How can I make it?
Will I?
It’s too far, I think.
It’s impossible.
But what other choice do I have?
Going back is not one of them
I must finish this journey
I must finish it with valor
And I will
Down this long road
This long way home
Was this the right path?
I won’t know until I reach the end
And I will get there
I will get there one day
