Pastor,
You are the sixth
Person I have known
That I have outlived
In the past two years
And you were the only one
To live to the long years
But you were also a life that I got to witness
You were not only a death
You were a ray of sunshine
Ministering to me in my youth
Opening up doors with possibilities
Making me smile
Teaching me
Mentoring me
Of the six
You were one of the four cancer patients
You had the shortest time to live
And the worst of the diseases
Age did not help you
But now you are finally home
The Congolese sure know how to name people
“Father of Kindness”
Makes me smile every time I hear it
You made so many smile
Grew so many hearts
Love and cared about everyone and anyone
I respected you so much
You set the perfect example
Led the way
I want to be someone like you
I want to accomplish great things
For the Kingdom
How could I go yet
When I have not fulfilled my purpose
On this earth?
I still have yet to find
What I am to be
I think I’m ready to find myself
Pastor,
You have fought the good fight,
You have finished the race,
You have kept the faith
Just as Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:7
You are the picture of this verse to me
And I thank you for that
Rest in peace, Father of Kindness
For I know you are at peace
With God
